It is going to be something," Basically the "Space Force", which was like the worst name for it, ever, is just a modified or modern version of Reagan's SDI plan. The thing is, Trump's may actually have the timing and technology to get it done. In Reagan's era the SDI plan was just a little too grandiose to be able to be completed in that time period. The technology just wasn't ready. It's not like he's making any plans to have a manned military pretense in space. It will be just a more complex drone operation, for lack of a better way to describe it.

An incredibly stupid waste of money. Just give the money that would be allocated to a Space Force to NASA so we can go to Mars and increase zero-G research output. That would benefit us more than a Space Force.
