Sleeper nodes are not tied to the world line or sparrow.
You want the memory fragments dotted around mars that require different elements to be destroyed.

They are required for some sleeper simulant questline steps and I think Polaris lance too. And every so often you will get an item to take to Anna to get some weapons only tied to those like the sniper - The frigid jackal, auto - winter wolf and sidearm - 18 kelvins.

As above it’s for Sleeper simulant, Polaris Lance and the braytech weapons. There is an emblem which tracks the number of unique nodes accessed (thunk there are around 40) but it’s only an emblem tracker and as yet do not believe there is any achievement or specific part of game tied to getting all the unique nodes
