Bungie, I think You've overdone the Triumph difficulty

As the title says guys. I feel the difficulty of the triumph missions have been overdone. (Going to add this here since there are so many idiots in this community who think negative feedback is automatically Toxic. This post is about the flow and continuity of the quest. Yes I am complaining that the second part of the quest has ads harder to kill than the final step, the Prestige Raid. And yes I feel that it makes little to no sense, and as a consumer and an avid Destiny Player I am leaving my feedback as such. READ WHAT IS BEING POSTED MORONS!!!! Those of you in here throwing -blam!-s and such and telling us to get out of the game etc. are the ones actually being toxic. So get a grip and grow up!!) I am an end game grinder, Herioc Strikes, Prestige Nighfalls, and Prestige Raids. I am used to fighting the toughest enemies this game has. The blue armour missions shouldn't be harder than a heroic strike! I mean seriously, I can happily solo those and nightfalls, but am struggling to get through Blue Armour Homecoming??? These Triumphs are meant to be a celebration of the past year. Not a punishment because lots of us were unhappy with the game for a long time. And yes, the way you have thrown everything at us all of sudden feels like just that. I love the way the game is going, and what Bungie have said is coming. I have always enjoyed these end of such and such Triumphs/Celebrations, but I honestly feel the difficulty has been set too high on this one. Instead of feeling good about it, I'm just annoyed and frustrated that the hour I had to do this this morning has been wasted trying to solo run a mission that should be over with 5 minutes after it starts. This complaint is Specifically about the Blue Stage Armour Missions....I already know that Prestige Calus for the masterwork is going to be easier than what I have experienced today. Come On Bungie, Its meant to be a Celebration. I certainly don't want it just given to me, but you guys gotta be realistic about difficulty on whats meant to be a recap basically.

  • I thought it was good. Soloed all except Chosen just to get it done faster. Plenty of people on lfg looking to run these. Just 2 people makes them fly by, try it. Obligatory "git gud scrub"... well, just because it's funny.

  • Solo'd every mission on 2 of my characters. Teamed up for speed on my 3rd. Its really not hard, Im sorry but thats just reality.

    • Nah dawg these missions are perfect. This should be every story mission as default. To be honest, the story would be so much better and more intense if you had 10 hard redux missions where the enemy actually feels like they are really trying to kill you. Match that difficulty in a boss fight with that epic soundtrack and the light show of my rocket launcher and you have an actual good campaign. The campaign should feel like a sizable chunk of the game instead of three cutscened adventures that you complete in an hour, tops. Hope to god that these are the base difficulty in forsaken.

        Done all of it solo :) got my legendary set yesterday. I enjoyed the missions they were way to easy before and now you have to take your time or you get melted pretty quick by the overwhelming amount of orange and yellow bars most others who finished it used the wotw but I used sleeper it hits pretty hard also but I do have wotw I just wanted the extra challenge

      • Honestly the requirements arent as bad for anything, the problem is the time it requires... seriously feels like grinding everything you done in a year in weeks.... and theres no point on have done it before... cause game requires you to do it again on 3 characters!! They went with the lazy way of difficulty again

          So... you mean adding a few dozen extra yellow bars and nerfing the fk out of your player so it takes 10-50 head shots to kill them wasn't fun for you? Don't know about you, but for me the sponging was the real party pooper. This celebration is supposed to recap our adventures over the last year... which must be why my guardian is weak as fk when reliving those events, right? Maybe it's a nod from the devs as to how weak our guardians have become since D1? I honestly feel sorry for the players trying to do these missions without WotW because it really feels like they were developed with the expectation that you would have access to it. Sure, you can try to go in up close if you want to, but with every enemy hitting like a semi truck while I seem to be using marshmallow guns I needed every free round I got from WotW. Doesn't help that literally every single encounter is a "no respawn zone" that sends you back to the last checkpoint when you die and most of them require you to kill literally every single enemy in that area before you're allowed to proceed. I ended up soloing all of those missions using primarily scout rifles and WotW.

        • This seemd the direction the game is now going, and I'm feeling increasingly less likely to buy Forsaken. Faction rally with a modifier that makes our guardians weaker. All 'ornament' to change armour appearance are per character although pledge is faction wide. Solstice of Heroes where low level armour needs to be used to replay the same missions multiple times as it's counted per character. To get to the blue armour on all 3 characters needs 6 clears of Homecoming and three clears each for the other missions plus all the other requirements. That's just grind for the sake of it. Having something to grind for is good, but only if the grind is enjoyable. I ground strikes in D1 for the exclusive loot, but those strikes were enjoyable. This isn't.

          • Just wait til you get to the PvP portion...10 Crucible kills and 30 Super kills in the Crucible...ITS LITERALLY BACKWARDS!!! It's supposed to be the other way around...but Bungie insists "these are the correct numbers" as said by a moderator. Instead of taking responsibility for a mistake and fixing it...they'd rather defend it to the death. #sinkingship

            • I didn't bother to upgrade my green when I saw you had to upgrade the whole set. I was planning to just do a single piece so when I saw it was the entire set, I just quit with that grind even though I had all but the crucible quota filled at the time. Good to hear I made the right call as what you are saying here sounds lame and typical Bungle and not fun. I know many play this game to apparently try to be elite and possibly make up for some shortcomings in their real life and maybe boost their low self esteem but I play the game to have fun and dealing with bullet sponges and other bullshit thrown in is not fun. I'm also pretty good at it so it's not a case that I suck and am salty though even if I did suck, that'd be fine since it is a video game. I rarely die in heroic strikes yet I find them to be so damn tedious with the bullet sponge crap that I don't even do them anymore because it's not a challenge and is not enjoyable. The good thing though is that it is a video game so A) It's not important in the grand scheme of things B) it's easy to not do stuff if I don't want to do it

              "We want a challenge!" cries the community, their arms up in anger. "As you wish..." Says Bungie, and thus a new content update with challenging missions is rolled out "Bungie!!!! Too hard!!!!!!!!!" The community whines. "But.. We were just doing what you asked..." Bungie sulks "Well its not what we wanted!" "Okay... We'll just make it easier so that there are no more complaints... That should fix everything... Right?" "OMG Bungie!! This content is too easy now!!! We want harder activities!" The community whines yet again. And bungie, distraught by the community's inability to decide on what it wants, rocks back and forth in the corner. Producing the challenging content that'll only be complained about for years to come, even when they make it easier... Because thats bad for some reason. So who is really at fault here? Is it A) The developers who are just doing what the community says and producing challenging activities. Or B) The picky community that cant make up its mind on what they want in this game.

              • Once I found out that the legendary armor requires a nightfall completion I called off the entire thing. As a solo player I have never done a D2 nightfall, nor do I ever plan to. So why bother with any of the armor steps when that one step will mean the end of my journey? I'm glad I found out before I even started, saved me a lot of time and effort. Perhaps if there was some awesome weapon as the end goal, then I would probably make an attempt to solo the nightfall (I soloed them in D1) but all that annoyance and bullet sponge enemies for armor? No thanks. Not worth losing my sanity over. Bungie still hasn't sold me on Forsaken, and they just keep digging that hole even deeper every time they change something or do these events. When solo players are given the same loot opportunities as fireteam players in this game, I will open my wallet to them. But no way am I paying for another DLC that has most of the best content locked behind fireteams.

                  • I solo'd them all. They aren't that hard as long as you kill everything as you go. The problem I see w the "it's too hard" whiners is that they like to run all the way to the end skipping as many enemies as possible. I never really understood that at all, but to each their own Specifically for the armor, once you load into the mission just make sure you have that respective piece on by the time the boss is defeated. ... Telesto is the besto on that specific run.

                      I'm so sick of this - Blaming! - crap! This community says '' We want a grind '' and then they are like '' this so to hard '' make up your DANM MIND. You guys ask for so much and then you want to change it. It's complaining and complaining. If you hate the game then LEAVE. Then this game would become so much better without toxic people.

                      • The only requirement I have a problem with is the prestige leviathan. I wish that instead of doing that specific one it was “Complete any prestige raid or raid lair” or even just complete any normal raid or raid lair. I’ve done prestige calus before but the teams I’ve found for it recently can’t tell left from right

                        I think it's great. Its a fun solo challenge, and alot of fun with friends. Destiny is usually so easy. First time in a while I needed to focus to get through a mission.

                      • I’m having fun grinding out my Hunters armor, the missions are challenging, but not impossible with a little patience, mayhem next week to quickly pound out the crucible reqs... my thing is this though, once again, Bungie has taken Destiny, a game about being a super powered undead space badass.. and designed the ENTIRE gameplay loop around restricting and taking that power away from us. Maybe one of these days, we’ll actually get to be super powerful badass space warriors..? Maybe one day?
