Take cover!!!!!!!! Sergeant McRae was screaming at the top of his lungs to his guys laid out on the street besides their patrol cars... This guy is nuts...We gotta be carefull.!! He is a rabid fanboy and he's out for blood!!! Inside his mjolnir suit Dex could see all the state troopers and pinpoint their location with ease...the red blips on his radar were like christmas lights on a tree and that gave a smile to his face... Ah...I love that kind of attention!!! Dex told himself...this is just what i need to get the message across!!!! WE GOT YOU SURROUNDED fanboy!!!! There is not way out of the building...Drop your weapons and get out of the building!!!!! What a silly costume sergeant McRae!!!! laughed CPL dennis... He looks like a retard... Well denis...he ain't no retard....he's gotta grudge that he wants to vent out and we are here to prevent it from happening.... All around Dex was tipped over furniture and smashed windows where Dex stood defiant gesturing at the troopers... Dex was on a mission and he was not about to let it fail....NO spartans ever failed... I won't fail ...not this time... You !!! Dex pointed at one of bungie's employee... Did you get my donuts??? YES..YES.. sir ....said Clara the receptionist all shaking... Here they are.... About time!! ....A Spartan needs a lot of food to carry out their missions and he was starved...the suit Dex was wearing weighed on him like a ton...but he did not care.... Get me the President of Bungie....NOW!!!! Clara started to run towards the stairs and was heading towards the main offices of bungie... Everywhere on the floor people were awstruck at what was going on...this morning was like every other morning..a nice day of work ahead and the fun that came with it...until Dex bursted in... It was 10 am when Dex slammed the door opened and started screaming.... WHERE IS HALO 3?????!!!! The Fanboy was wearing what looked like a mjolnir suit and he was holding a sawed off shotgun in his hands... People started screaming and running everywhere... Dex raised the shotgun and shot in the ceiling and screamed... "nobody move!!!!!!!!" or the mainframe computer with all of it's precious information gets it.... Everybody froze....the all knew that if the mainframe computer was destroyed Bungie would go under.....the mainframe computer had all of the information about what was going on at bungie and what was being built at this time.....even with backups..years of work would be lost forever and it would deal a huge blow to the company....one that they might never recover from.... Dex screamed.. "IN MY HANDS I HOLD THE FUTURE OF HALO" " I came here to seek answers and i want them..if i don't get what i want i will not hesitate to blow your precious little toy and send you sinking at the bottome of Cybersea !!!!" Martha one of the emplyees had managed to call 911 while Dex was making all those threats and in a matter of moments the local police with state troopers where on the scene but it did not make any difference to Dex....He knew this was gonna happen... Long minutes passed and Dex had smashed a lot of offices computers and was ravaging thru computers and papers lookung for the eternal question that drove him to insanity.. In his mind all he could hear was... "WHERE IS HALO 3?????"""" "WHERE???!!!! WHERE???!!! WHERE???!!!''' and it kept screaming in his head until he could not stand it any longer....Dex was in a state where no one could reach him..the "GREAT BEYOND"... NOw flashback to the current time.... Here i am ....said Frank president of bungie...what can i do for you today Dex.... One simple thing Sir....Dex Approched frank and put the barrel of his shotgun under his chin... "you give me the proper answer and i will disappear like magic....if not i will make a mess here...." Well Dex if that is your name....yes we do have plans for Halo 3....it's in the works..as a matter of fact come with me...i will show you proof... " Don't try any funny trick frank or your super PC gets it in the harddrive...!!!" Dex followed to a room named forerunner and frank punched in a few keys on the keypad of the doorknob and there was a hiss.... the door slowly opened to reveal a big room full of japanese artist hard at work on computers...there were hundreds of them and they were all acting like they were on some kind of high...they moved fast and they looked like blurs....some even imitated grunts from the games and screamed... "They are everywhere!!" one fo the little worker let out... Dex was amazed by what was going on and all the monitors were showing him different aspects of halo 3 and what was going on in and outside of it... This is the nerve center of Halo 3 Dex...this is where it is all taking shape,,, I see! said Dex..this is what i came for...what i craved for those logn months...my mind is at ease right now.... Frank was surprised when a light started to glow around Dex..And All of sudden Dex started to fade away... What in blue blazes? said Frank... Dex was gone as if he had never been there.... And all of Bungie was wondering what was going on... Epilogue.... Hey DEx what is going on said roy as he sat besides Dex in the schoolbus... Not much roy.... What you looked crazed dude what happened... The most extraordinary thing ROY.... I saw The release date of Halo 3...But i ain't telling you...!!!! then Dex started to laugh and laugh like demented man all the way to school and Roy looked into those crazed eyes of his friend wondering what had went on last night after he had left Dex after playing 12 hours straight of halo 2 together.... the end.....

Any idea when those of us who applied might hear something back? The job is still posted on the jobs page, and without sounding too arrogant I figured I was at least qualifed enough to get a call back, having been the managing editor of one of the largest game related websites out there, but alas I have heard nothing yet :(
-
Give me a call when any positions open up requiring individuals with experience in building high powered DEW’s. I cover everything from the photonic side to some basic particle beam configurations such as heavy electron beams.
-
-
truthfully, i'd like to work for lucasarts, not bungie.
-
I doubt it, if they put Halo 2 on PC, tons of gamers will just think when Halo 3 comes out, "I'll just wait for it to come out on PC, it always does". If they keep Halo 2 on the Xbox though, it will be made clear that Halo is never going to PC again, and that Halo: CE only went because it was agreed by MS and Bungie that it could be ported as part of their buyout agreement or whatever. Halo and Halo 2 were huge system sellers, and Halo 3 will be as well, so there's no reason to throw that exclusivity out the window.

Well that's a little defeatist isn't it? Besides... Bungie is no stranger to hiring fresh talent without prior industry experience... I would imagine that it isn't about whether or not we're willing to shovel the portapotties and sleep in the trash bin. It's probably more about finding the right combination of business, humor, talent, and bloodthirstiness that emulates Frankie himself – without overshadowing him. That kind of combination can be found in many an unexpected place – even outside the industry. [Edited on 1/30/2006]

I assume they are looking for a nameless Grunt. And a contract one at that. And I'd just like to emphasize that I was aware of this when I applied. I've also assumed no money for the job. Since it's probably close to no money. And I did some research on if I sell my assests and move to Washington, could I make it work for at least a year, without income? And, I can do it. I'm ready. Problem is, Bungie probably wasn't looking for any of us. The public mention was probably more of an open call for people already in game writing. Particularly ones who may be questioning their current employment at the moment.
-
My god. As if Frankie doesn't have enough dead weight and strangling charisma surrounding the whole community. Could it be that the gorilla suit might be traded amongst a select new crack-team? What kind of contract writers are we talking about here? A new celebrity like Frankie? Or a grunt who cleans up grammar and adds words like "pwned!" to the spellcheck at 5 in the morning? What they will have to do is drop a few silent-but-deadlies outside the server room and throw in some red bull, fritos, and a hustler mag so the new writers have companionship. Need inspiration? There's a few paper clips lying by the wall socket. [Edited on 1/29/2006]

It's not like Bungie to mislead us, especially with the huge anticipation for this game, and the release of the perfect console for it. I myself am looking forwards to it. goddamn, shame im not in america and such, id love to work for bungie. but i wish they would say the project there working on, i know its probubly halo 3 but...i want to know if its official >_>
-
Have you slipped up Frankie? ;)
Requirements • Excellent writing skills covering a broad range of styles and topics • Must be passionate and experienced with the Bungie Community and our games, especially Halo and Halo 2.
Why would the applicant need a special interest in Halo AND Halo 2 if the next project, officially, is not necessarily a Halo-related game? Like Halo 3 for example? And don't tell me it's for the website, because I don't really see much about Halo on here anymore, it's all Halo 2. Edit : Sorry just noticed I had repeated that idea. Still, at least I know I am not the only one thinking this... [Edited on 1/18/2006]

Well, I am thinking about applying for this job. I have quite a resume of writing halo strategy stuff, as posted on Rampancy, and later "hired" by teamxbox to post Sparky's Guides. I am 22, still in college, but willing to take a break (been planning on it for a while) for a few months, especially to work on something that I love. And who said that playing video games whould get you nowhere.... -Sparks
