99 % left behind
98 to 99 percent of gamers wont get raid catalyst or complete triumphs due to be placed in Prestige raids.We can thank twitch streamers and youtubers for that.crying to easy to easy.Cant believe Bungie is listening. to them.its easy for them to get the best players.If they dont have a full raid team they can just ask thier chat.i have only 1 raid clear in this game.its sad its come to this on d2.i did everything on d1.Ibet i have more time on this game than any twitch streamer.look me up on xbox1.

The reality is that there is going to be a new masterwork system. What that means we still dont know. Im assuming that catalysts are going away. And 6 weeks from now you will get greens at 450.

I believe this only because they hid the catalyst behind prestige raids. The normal variants are really easy and fun, but prestige raid lairs are really challenging and the majority of the player base will never get it done. They should have placed the catalysts and Solstice items behind the normal lairs

18 RepliesI myself suck at crucible. So should i cry that i wont get Trials armor/ornaments? And with the changes they made, weapons are also taken out of the clan engrams from trials. No i accept it. Those that are good deserve the gear. If you want the gear from Raids, play the raids. Make friends, find a active clan and all that other stuff. I only raid with my clan. We are used to play together and help each other out to complete it. We did our first prestige run yesterday without much trouble too because everyone knows what to do. And new raiders joined the clan? No problem, we teach them. Its that simple. And its not just my clan that does this. Look for a active, friendly clan and you will raid and can get these catalysts very fast. Put some effort into it.

Just grind the first encounter every week.. the catalysts for most of them drop from all chests. I was in an lfg team last night and that was our original plan but we ended up doing the whole prestige spite of stars because it was so easy. Three dudes got the catalyst on the bowl encounter the first time we did it.

No. Actually it's not. The masterwork chest is for prestige argos. You dont need a masterwork. Everyone gets the armor. Completing quests increases its light.

What about the catalysts locked behind crucible? I hate PvP, but I'm not whining about how I don't want to grind it.

From what I've heard it may be masterwork that requires the prestige completion but I'm not sure. Also, the 400 light is irrelevant even if you do prestige. Also, you are not gauranteed loot in this game. Do you complain you can't get the ornaments or weapons or armor from any raids you haven't done because you can't get a group/can't complete it?

Honestly I'm ok with the prestige raid lairs having exotic catalysts since the normal versions didn't offer exotic weapons to go after to my knowledge.

you are about 4000 hours short of the top players. stop complaining and put your own team together. If you did it all in D1, how did you do it.. do the same thing for D2. Participation awards are ruining every type of competition every. Making every child feel that they are a special snoflake.. You earn your elite status.. not everyone should play, not everyone should win and not everyone shoudl get a trophy for showing up.

What if.........some loot is so rare that only 1% of the player base is able to get it? Wouldnt it be cool if we actually had some unique, rare, and EXOTIC weapons and armor? I think itd be awesome if I was able to somehow acquire armor or a weapon that barely anybody has I dont raid so I wont be getting the chest. I do however run trials and love PVP and Id be pissed if Bungie made it so everyone could get flawless gear without actually going flawless People like OP ruin games. They are the "Every kid gets a trophy" generation of gamers.

this is the exact same with trial's and crucible (more trial's though) since D1 and do you see me complaing no I suck it up and know that everyone cant get all the "cool stuff" this is also a good thing because then you actually have to work hard for it but I can agree with you on 1 thing BUNGIE SHOULD LISTEN TO EVERYONE NOT JUST THE STREAMERS

1 ReplyIt's no big deal. Really. Every game has a list of things that include things 99% of gamers won't do. Dead Space for example. One of the accomplishments is to complete the game on the hardest mode with I think 2 saves or less. TV breaking hard. Controller throwing, hair pulling, grinding the enamel off your teeth hard. Get over it. There's stuff in D1 I still haven't done and probably never will now. Get a life.

1 ReplyYou can't always get what you want. I am ok with that. I am not worried about having to do raids. I don't raid at all really. I do like strikes and Nightfalls. So why not include something for those activities? Bungie are missing the point of their own game. Offering something for everyone, not just raiders.

It’s funny how so many people are saying this caters to streamers or whatever. The raid lairs are easy. It’s just people who are too lazy to try it saying it’s too difficult with hopes that an easier way will come to them to acquire the stuff.

From what I remember this is what the people wanted and they did do this in D1 in one form or another, You wanted that gear you had to raid, you wanted that weapon you had to raid. Locking gear behind end game content is a major incentive to play that content, That incentive needs to be worth it.... and since armor is cosmetic in D2 they couldn't do the same thing as in D1 so our incentive is catalysts and event armor. 100% of the clan I was in was upset at D2 launch for the same reason a majority of veteran D1 players were: They tried to attract a larger portion of new players aka casuals that either can't or won't put in the time to do it all and most of them only played for a couple weeks before moving to another game. The end game content is by no means unobtainable for any player that will just put in the time, after our clan practiced the raid we can now clear all three in about 2 hours and we all only play for 3-4 hours at the end of the day when our families go to bed. We all have full time jobs and responsibilities along with families and real life things going on but we put that time in to do the games content. Just like in D1 we'd all run the VoG 3 times in one day just trying to get Fatebringer to drop but now we'll run these raids in hopes that the emote drops or the catalyst drops and we have a fun time doing it. Now I don't disagree with everything said here even in the comments, Solo players do need more incentives to play, they should listen to the whole population but a majority wanted incentives to play the hardest end game content. They could have gone about this a different way but so could you, No arguments can be made unless there is a valid counterpoint ( even though they won't listen ) Team based looter shooter requires friends which is why they did more for clans. The only problem I have with this game is the constant adding of reworked things just to turn around and take them out ei: buying gear from vendors with otherwise useless tokens and they taking it away for ranking rewards instead ( which I do like better but constantly reworking the rework is irritating )
