All these kids complaining about not being able to run a prestige raid 😂

yawn. 99% won't get ANYTHING that comes from crucible either. Deal with it.

The curated loadouts and modifiers for the lairs are the WORST IDEA EVER and will further prevent casual players from ever getting those raids done. Congrats Bungie... driving off even more players!

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/20/2018 2:34:06 PMOf the 7 million that bought Destiny 2, there's only around 2.5/3% still actively logging in 10 months later It should be that missing 97% that Bungie listen to....they left because Bungie screwed up and destroyed the premise of Destiny 1 ....no 10 year plan It's the majority of the 97% that need enticing back (many of them dedicated, now disheartened Destiny 1 players who just saw how poor D2 was after spending $70) Not some Twitchbitch

Why can’t bungie realize that forced grind isn’t fun when the rewards are shit. Then they make the stuff we do want, sleeper catalyst, put behind the pinnacle activity, with -blam!-ing rng. Rng is the most stupid video game mechanic. It’s bad enough to have shit luck in real life, now wether or not you can have fun is based off of luck too.
-
bruuuuuuhhhh. 80 percent of the playerbase got fed up being -blam!-ed in the ass by bungie and left this shit show called destiny... 99 percent today, what is that? like 230 players or something... destiny is done. im lurking on the forums to see if this game actually got any better over time.. but it still hasnt. its still shit. just a little polished shit.

Good. These triumphs should not be easily fed. If it requires a prestige raid, so be it. ~TheGreatNike

Catering to elitists will be the death of this franchise. The new raid modifiers are cancer.
-
The game is still trash.
-
There's a lot of people commenting that this games problem isn't that it caters to elitists, but it caters to casuals. Here's the T. Destiny 1 player base was plummeting by the time D2 arrived. Most of the "elitists" vanished. Why do people think that last September Destiny was played by millions of people? The weapons in D1 are FAR superior than they are in D2. This doesn't suggest that it's for the casuals at all. If I was a casual player I'd take D1 sleeper over the D2 version. I'd take a gjallerhorn over a sins of the past (Hell I'd take 90% of D1 RL!). The raids are far more forgiving in D1 than they are in D2. Not very casual if you ask me. Everyone complained about weapons in PvP in D1 far more than they do in D2. This is why everything got nerfed constantly. Bit of a "casual" move if you think about it. The only 2 reasons people think this is for casuals is that the weapons are much easier to obtain and streamers have said it's for casuals. I don't mind streamers at all to be fair. I just think Bungie need to regard their opinion just as valid as you or mine.

Clans work.
-
Raids have always been a part of triumphs.
-
The hard mode raids have been in all the other triumphs, so far only normal modes are in this one. The moments of triumph have always been doing everything in the game. This isn't about twitch streamers, this is an incentive for people who wouldn't normally do these things to do them. If you want the reward you have to do the thing that rewards it.
-
To be honest, only being a casual raider, I don't think the chances of me doing prestige raids are that high, let alone completing enough of them to grind for a catalyst. So chances are I am part of that 99% and I'm okay with it. I'm just happy that the weapons themselves aren't locked behind the prestige raids that most people will still have a chance at obtaining those weapons outside of raiding. Realistically would you be happier with the exotic weapons (Acrius aside) being locked behind raids like in D1 or just their catalysts?
-
Bungle thinks their game is a microcosm of real life USA In real life USA, the top 10% of tax payers account for something like 70+% of all taxes. In Destiny 2, the top 10% do not account for 70+% of all revenue and they are not the key to the game's continuation. The lifeblood of the game is obviously not the casuals who play for a few hours and move onto a different game but rather are the middle people who frequently play, will buy the expansions, but aren't raiders and aren't streamers. Screwing over these people by locking more and more stuff like exotic catalysts behind raids (and prestige at that) is a dumb move and it'll backfire if they keep this up. Rewarding raiders IS a good idea but they should be rewarded with really unique and powerful weapons and gear, not catalysts and the ability to unlock a single piece of event armour that others aren't going to get. I understand Bungle wanting to entice more people to raid but maybe they should make their raids more streamlined and more fun (majority I have seen say the raid isn't fun) rather than relying on a bunch of mechanics and having many only want experienced people to play with.
-
Wait, what?
-
They are just trying to force people to do that shitty content. Not going to happen. Just wait till you see the player drop off in the fall $70 for sept 2018 to sept 2019 bahahahahaha riiiiiiight.

@commenters It's tough to agree with all these D2 players who say this game is garbage, dead, or that Bungie is a terrible company... yet these players actively play the game and still care enough to post on the forums......... hmmmm. Here's a cookie, you can turn it in for every exotic in the game and become max LL, but you can only turn it into Cayde when Forsaken drops. (Too soon?)
I love this game and love the forums, investment paid off in droves thanks to the split community. The die-hards are fun to play with, the lore community is extremely enthusiastic and welcoming, and the new casuals are welcome to my clan- just don't call it pink. And Complainers can just go to another forum on another game and you'll see the same stuff. Welcome to the new social media gaming generation.
Never done D2 raid nor do I want to. I'm not spending 2, 3 out more hrs in the raid then suddenly they want to stop and I get nothing. Back in yr 1 I raided all the time bc they was actual gear to collect that meant something. Then they pull this crap trying to make people play the raid to get the catalyst yeah no thanks. Doing that will make people turn away. They are no real incentives to play. But that's my opinion you can agree or disagree I don't care
-
The game was too easy to progress... they just did what they always do.. over do it. I will not be doing the raids for em my self purely due to the fact that D2 is hot garbage
-
Same here, and i agree with you.
-
I agree. Catering to the elite snowflakes is a very poor move by Bungie. Why lock non-raid weapon catalysts behind an imaginary achievement wall. I paid the same as everyone else and should have access to those catalysts without having to play with those douchebags.
-
Why is that a issue, it makes the raid worth doing. Oh well. Yes the catalyst helps but you can be fine without them.
-
This is satire, right?
