In no way should I EVER be punished for leaving a game in which part of my team has already left. If a member of my team leaves during the first round, this makes the rest of the game a 3v4 match. That's a problem already. Considering players usually leave because the match is already weighted clearly in the enemy's favor, it's incredibly rare that this is ever a fun experience. I shouldn't be forced to stick around through a match in which the odds are unfairly weighted in the enemy's favor just to avoid a temp ban. The fact that a system like this hasn't been implemented is ridiculous, and about 33% of the games I play end with my team being short a player.

Rather than encouraging more people to leave, give an incentive bonus to the remaining players for sticking it out, be it either slightly more loot or more xp from the match (of if playing comp, less xp lost).
-
Not to mention, people getting dropped left and right for connection errors. I’ve lost players while smearing the other team, and gotten dropped myself due to an error.
-
The first person that leaves should always be penalized. If someone from your team has left, there should be no quitting penalties and no loss for that game; because you are obviously at a disadvantage.
-
21 RepliesThere’s a simple but yet effective solution. If you quit a match, you cannot play another activity until the match you quit has ended. It’s a small but effective punishment.
-
Consistent repeat offenders should be forced to play each other through a unique matchmaking system. That way they can screw each other over (over and over again), I’m sure they’d enjoy it too. Win win as far as I’m concerned. This would leave all of us regular players to play each other, thus improving the Crucible experience.

4 RepliesTry to beat the odds. It can happen.
-
That's why you launch in with 4 players. Problem solved. You're welcome.
-
If my hit detection or damage referee is lagging by a second I am leaving the match until I land in with a favourable host. It's the games issue shouldn't be my issue
-
I agree and should you be disconnected from game for any error code you should be allowed to rejoin.
-
Just put a rubber band on your controller and get a snack. No ban, and you don’t have to deal with the crap match, problem solved.
-
I’m not trying to be sarcastic, but try going on the Find Fireteam and get a team of four for competitive.
-
The simple solution would be if the game just filled the slot in competitive. Or conversely, didn't allow a player to leave the activity once begun. It sucks though. It's the main reason I don't mess with competitive is the consistent loss of a player. That combined with a loss penalty and no compensation for personal performance simply makes me stear clear.
-
I just avoid comp all together. Looks like its sweatier than trials anymore.
-
2 RepliesThis is just a gameplay problem. In d1 being 1 person down was never really that big a deal. Really what we need is just faster kill times and useful abilities so that it would be reasonable to take on multiple people.
-
5 RepliesIf 33% of the games you play end with a player leaving you might need to face the fact that you are part of the reason people leave.
-
4 RepliesMate. No one gives a flying -blam!- about your experience. Just grow a set of -blam!-ing bollox and get on with it!
-
2 RepliesI have no desire for redrix I see everyone that gets it puts in in the vault and used graviton or vigilance like the rest of us. Don’t care about competitive but I do like to start up glory matches and then leave soon as we spawn in
-
Just play quick play dude. Seems like you're stressing too much over a darn game. Just why put yourself through it?
-
R6S and many others do the same thing

Edited by HAPPYWOLFE: 6/11/2018 2:50:59 PMStop playing Competitive with Randoms! Or just stop playing it at all

Edited by kindaSketch: 6/11/2018 2:15:04 PMGet a team man. I played 1 match solo and won. Played with a team for the first time since Warmind dropped yesterday. Never met these ppl b4 this and we won 5 str8. Only reason I left was bc I had real life stuff to do. I'm not the most social person but it's so much easier with a team. That 1 game that I won solo was only bc I played my ass off and clutched alot of plays. Find a team

2 RepliesI remember bungie implementing this in reach right before they lost their fan base. Why wait out a temp ban just to play crucible which is complete trash anyway.
-
“lol!!!” Bungie- But seriously, getting banned from D2 “Competitive”(competitive? sure it is. wink, wink)gameplay is doing you a favor. That shit is an absolute farce. Getting the flu is more enjoyable imho.
-
Totally agree.
-
Stick through it it is still very possible for you to win

Edited by Golden: 6/11/2018 3:41:25 AMYou basically just said "I mean our other guy who left should get punished, hes the one that screwed us, but I shouldn't get punished, even though I'm going to screw over my 2 other teammates." Just stick through it my dude. You still will get rewards, plus you might get a free exotic lol
