I know you all will say resist the hype but damn just look at the chat "saved, saved train, Destiny is saved" I haven't even watched half the stream yet and the first 5 mins alone was amazing. Legit different bosses that you have to fight in different ways, melee boss, sniper boss. All new weapon system with random rolls, and I quote "if you want to take in three shotguns you can", all new subclasses and not just one element "this one might break the game and we're excited about it" (that's what I like to hear power fantasy is back), largest raid ever with the most bosses in a specific world basically built for the raid that will change over time (week one will be different than week 3), changing based on secrets other players find. New mode that combines PVE and PVP looks sick. And that is all I had time to watch. I believe I still had about 30 mins left and I still saw all of that. #Saved

1 ReplyHere, breathe into this bag for a minute.

10 RepliesNot really. 95% of it is resetting back to d1 rise of iron. The only new thing is supers, mods, masterwork and some pvepvp mode. That’s it. Even the enemies are reskinned fallen. Mediocre.

6 RepliesSo, when some of you come on here and complain about how you fell for the hype again. Just to let you know...
Some of us told you so a couple times already. Does this mean I get to laugh at you for falling for the same cheap tactics Bungie has been pulling this entire year?
For those that like the game no matter what happens to it? nothing wrong with that at all. I'll just let you pay them to fix the game. I'll wait until this bata is over and it starts to turn into a game worth playing. Hell, not even a year and some of you paid a couple hundred already or more to get less of what D1 had in Y1. By Y3 some of you will have most likely have spent close to $400.00 or more for a game that will on have ever been worth $60 the most. So I thank you for spending all that money just to get this company to make a somewhat decent game. Well, maybe it will be in Y3.

2 RepliesWe still know so little about everything. That sniper boss could be a couple of crits to kill. The melee boss could be to easy to out play so less skilled players could beat it. We’ve been thrown ideas not fleshed out information so far and it’s that reason we shouldn’t be getting hyped. Look back to the infinite forest and how hyped they were for that. I can count on 2 fingers how many times I’ve gone back through it, it’s that empty an idea.

I cant wait for the OG handcannon, sniper, sword/rocket loadout. Maybe bow instead of sniper sometimes. I just hope you can choose what slot. Since black spindle is returning i would love to run that in energy weapon slot not force it in the heavy slot.

Yes! This time will be different for sure you guys! I know bungie misleads and straight up lies all the time in their marketing, but I'm sure it'll actually be great this time, regardless of the last few years! The only people who are good at their jobs at Bungie are the marketing department.

I know you all will say resist the hype but damn just look at the chat "saved, saved train, Destiny is saved"
This is pure delusion, you've seen nothing of substance besides an extra subclass node and new gamemode, d2 will never, ever get back half the base it had at launch period.
I haven't even watched half the stream yet and the first 5 mins alone was amazing. Legit different bosses that you have to fight in different ways, melee boss, sniper boss.
Anyone still falling for destinys shiny new trailers deserves the disappointment that follows, people were psyched for extra social spaces and curse of osiris as well - until they realized more social spaces = having to fly to several places and how bad coo was, if you watch any of the d1 trailers you'll see much the same - meh in hindsight but HYPEEEE by everyone before release. Lol at fighting bosses in different ways every boss melees, how is a sniper boss new?
All new weapon system with random rolls, and I quote "if you want to take in three shotguns you can",
We have zero elaboration on this and people are blindly hyped once again, for all you know the primary and elemental shotgun do barely anything since they'd always have ammo and the system sucks, but sure let's imagine what we wish and be mad later it isn't that
all new subclasses and not just one element
See? Believing what you want, there aren't new subclasses; they're adding a tree for each one, you're setting yourself up for disappointment; knife throw super is gunslinger, strider twirl block is obvious as is full length hammer, storm has a crystal zap and nova can teleport until aoe blast, we didn't see the others but it's not new subclasses
"this one might break the game and we're excited about it" (that's what I like to hear power fantasy is back)
LOL if you still take what bungie say at face value, plus this is further coming to your own conclusions
largest raid ever with the most bosses in a specific world basically built for the raid that will change over time (week one will be different than week 3), changing based on secrets other players find.
And the infinite forest is super exciting because it changes each time too huh? We've been down this road, most bosses ever =/= in the raid, it's entirely possible most bosses ever just means, say 5 or so total bosses that rotate rather then 5 encouters of bosses per week
New mode that combines PVE and PVP looks sick. And that is all I had time to watch. I believe I still had about 30 mins left and I still saw all of that. #Saved
We got a brief description of how the mode works, nothing more, also while mixing pve and PvP sounds interesting you're just killing the same ads you've killed for four years in a race vs the other team, hardly insanely exciting imo :/

You seem to be confusing advertisement material with the real thing... All I saw is the things they didn't mention. Like, how long it will take to run through the story? Will primary weapons base damage still be the same? Won't you increase the number of perks on legendary weapons to D1 level? Will hidden juggler stay with us still? Will grenades remain on long cooldowns and weakened to be useless in PvP and rarely used in PvE? Etc... Sometimes we forget HOW MANY things were broken :(

5 RepliesTrust me, with bungie there is always a catch. They’re going to screw us over somehow.
-
1 ReplyLet's be realistic, those who no longer play Destiny won't be flooding back in droves off the back of the Y2 reveal.
-
And still will be more than likely disappointed at the end.
-
3 RepliesAll new Supers* Not Subclasses
-
11 RepliesYou kidding? The first 5 minutes and I was thinking "Didn't they say the same bull$hit back in 2013?" Dafuq?...
-
Phhhhh lol Hold my beer. the first 5 minutes were great. the next 30 were spent on discussing whats vaguely in the Annual pass, or as I like to call it, up the anal passage. The prominence and time spent on that threw up a lot of red flags for me. By bullshit detector was going off, BIG time.

Edited by Spleen-Splitta: 6/6/2018 11:23:57 PMit looked good until it was a huge money grab.

2 RepliesEdited by blade329: 6/6/2018 4:53:59 AMYes it did. I was impressed. I was also impressed with the numerous trailers that came out before D2 was released. It was total bait and switch. No way I'm pre-ordering this, but if the reviews are good.....I'm IN. I guess a true test will be if the snowflake PvP players hate it. If they hate it out of the gate, that tells me Bungie is doing something right and I'll buy it. lol

1 ReplyDon't fall for the hype. We've seen this before. The event they're pitching will be just like EP, in other words, f*cked up! The story will last 45 minutes, we'll get bored of the weapons in 45 more minutes, and then be left hanging out in the new reef area just showing off emotes until we log off. Don't fall for it this time people.
-
6 RepliesYay stuff we should have had from launch coming for even more money.
-
4 RepliesMakes you super wet in the pants? Ever heard of to good to be true. I'D LOVE to know how we haven't gotten anything usable in a year without some other form of take away. NOW All a sudden they have a MASSIVE amount of everything we asked for even though they always do the opposite? Sorry but I'm way leery of the ten minute video promising free cake and pussy for all.
-
11 RepliesGenius move by Bungie. Take all the good stuff out of D1. Spend a year “fixing” the issues (adding everything from D1). And then release the expansion with all the fixes for even more money and an annual pass. I’m convinced Bungie purposely neutered D2 from the beginning so people would be excited for the Forsaken expansion and buy the annual pass.

2 RepliesBest quote from the stream “there’s 2000 items, go get them” what about the 1,500 copy and pasted items?
-
The first five minutes looked better than anything you will ever see in Destiny.
-
6 RepliesWestern... really?
-
2 RepliesBetter than anything I've seen? I've seen games with chainsaw bayonets, Newtonian physics applied to space combat, application of weights to customize overall weight distribution in high speed mech games, and telekinesis modules that let me try to make dead bodies do the splits.
It'll happen one day.
I've had a dream where I could launch arrows out of a pool noodle like a blowgun and used the bodies of my enemies to barricade an open doorway so I could buy out all the pre-disney star wars merchandise in the world that was hidden in the back of a closed Toys R' Us. Never assume the nonsense I've seen again.

Then you haven’t seen Pamela Anderson naked in her twenties.

1 ReplyI remember watching the reveal trailer for Destiny 2. I had similar emotions flowing through me as OP. Good times. Then I got the game...
