I don't know if anyone else does this, but what I do seems to work.
First, you unplug your modem and plug it back in, then you need to make sure your NAT is open. From there all you have to do is take a ethernet cable and- just kidding. All I do is just look at the "searching for guardians" and if 4 pop up at once I back out and search again. You can even back out when it has 8/8 if you're fast enough. Seems like common sense but I know I didn't start doing it until recently. Just thought I would give more people the idea to do so.
When I pay attention and do that, I haven't gone up against a 4 stack. It absolutely kills my matchmaking time but because the grind to rank 3 will be a pain solo q, I would do that.
Before anyone says "just get a team together", some people prefer playing alone. Personally, I seem to play worse when I play with a team. I suffer from depression and social anxiety and I don't enjoy talking when I'm not feeling great.
