Zelda borrowing from Seiya.

Some of you may know Saint Seiya or as Knights of the Zodiac, a 1985 manga series. I love this show when i was a kid, so i started binge reading the manga and i noticed that Zelda borrowed one of its main subplots from Seiya. Goddess Athena is the protector of earth and has fought wars against Poseidon, Ares and Hades. She's reborn into a mortal child every couple hundred years to fight the holy wars (mostly against Hades) and has a companion who is the Pegasus knight, he is reborn as well since he was the first one to fight Hades and hurt his real body (Hades uses avatars to invade earth afterwards). Goddess reborn into mortality, fateful knight by her side, fighting evil (Hades) to protect earth. Athena and Seiya during every incarnation almost look the same as well. I had a feeling that wind waker borrowed some stuff from the Poseidon arc as well. It's pretty cool, I love Seiya and this gives me a smile.

To be fair, only skyward sword Zelda is a reincarnation of Hylia, all the others are just descendents of her. Ganon kind of supports the theory, since there's only 1, MAYBE 2, ganons. As for link, it's just a random person that just so happens to have the same name for consistencies sake.
