The DLC that pushed fans further away *SPOILERS*
To all who have completed the Warmind DLC, I'm sure you remember defeating Nokris. If you completed The Taken King in D1 and scan almost every scan-able object within the dreadnought, you'd come across a statue of Nokris sitting to the right of Crota and in the middle, Oryx.
A little backstory and I'll TL;DR for you: Norkis and Crota are brothers meaning that Nokris is the son of a Hive God. ALSO, Xol the Worm God we kill, yeah, he's a God too...
They were way to easy to kill for being "Gods" not like Oryx and Crota. And you know what's more disappointing? NONE OF THE BACKSTORY WAS REFERENCED AT ALL!
Who is Nokris? What is he? Where did he come from? Who is Xol? What is he? Where did he come from? NONE OF IT IS IN THE GAME! Everything we did in The Taken King, at least lore wise, didn't happen? Why? What was the reason for not referencing what we did and what we collected in that expansion? I want to know.

Nokris means -blam!- all lorewise now, seeing as there was no significance to his entrance despite his lore importance and his death is inglorious and worthless. Way to waste a character, Bungie.

Nokris, in lost prophecy 10 says: see who's robed as if a god. Who stands with pride above the rest. Destroy this ancient nameless fraud, destroy the one who's death was blessed! Nokris was abandoned by Oryx for being weak, he's a fraud. Not a god.

Nokris was disappointing, if I didn't know about the lore behind him already i'd literally just think he was a more unique looking hive wizard. Like where was the build up? He's a sibling of Crota after all!!

Keep in mind Xol was frozen for who knows how long and the other was thrown out by Oryx for being weak.
