Please start Ranked off right!!!
I have put thousands of hours in Destiny as a whole and over 1500 hours in crucible. Never posted here before, but Destiny is my favorite game series and the no radar in the comp playlist is killing me. Its horrible.
I have always wanted ranked crucible since D1 days. It is finally coming, but is it coming with no radar? No radar does not work in Destiny. Will the radar be returning to Comp playlist on May 8? I want to start ranking up immediately, but cant stand playing the campy radar version of crucible we have now. Please start Ranked crucible off right!!!

This no radar thing is a half baked idea at best. D2 is way too vertial for no radar and the audio cues are very imbalanced. Certain classes can take great advantage of the verticality with minmal noise while others like Striker and Hammer Titans with the shoulder charge build make a LOT of continuous noise when they sprint and a LOT of continuous noise when they glide.

They should increase the audio cues for footsteps and jumps, yes.

1 ReplyDude why should there be a radar in a hardcore mlg game type. There has almost always never been a radar in every shooter with these types of modes . I'm not even really a competitive player at all, but I agree with the no radar in these game types. They should take it a step further and enable friendly fire and no shield regen. Hardcore players want to be hardcore so be hardcore don't whine for easy mode.

I really can’t wait for the uprising the new pulse rifle is going to cause. The try hards will have it the cheaters will have it but the other 90% nope. Putting something new and cool behind the ability of others like that is ridiculous. But what do I know I have only been playing this franchise for 4 years and thousands of hours. I have been warning Bungie against the mistake they are making, talking directly to developers about it. They should of taken that gun and had you have to get fabled in Glory just once but in the Valor mode you have to reach max rank and then reset it and max it again to get it. That way the more risk you take the faster you get it. I know I am a collector and will never get that gun and as a collector I see no point in trying to collect things if I have no chance to get everything. I despise Competitive and trials in this game due to no radar, terrible matchmaking, ddos, and then just lack of teammates that are even ok. That stuff should of been fixed. Hell you can’t have ranked play without skill based matchmaking by rank!!!

One will be in the competitive list, so no radar (the one you need to do well in to get the pulse) and one will be in the quickplay.

As far as they have told us, we will not be getting radar back in comp.
