• Raids and trials will increase the light level the fastest which are for the team oriented people. Then youve got the weekly milestones which, yes, consist of one raid engram which solo players won't have access too as well as the nightfall engram unless they decide to solo it. Minus all that they still have the flashpoint reward, crucible reward, the clan engram for earning 5000 xp solo and the 3 heroic strike completion engram. Thats 4 guaranteed sources each week which will increase your light. It may take solo players a bit longer than the players who do everything for the week but they will still reach the max power level cap. If you have any questions lemme know. If that comes across as arrogant believe me I dont mean it that way.

 • Per the update that I read, max level will be capped now from those weekly sources. You will only be able to hit the max cap if you complete Trials and the Raid. Maybe I read it wrong but if I did, many others did too. At the end of D1 they made it possible for max level on solo play with Iron Banner. It took a while but it was possible and that's all solo players wanted. Not the case now.

 • Essentially what they've done is made raids and trials grant larger light increases than regular milestones. Think of the regular milestones as the solo players iron banner in destiny 1. They can still reach max power level however it will take longer than the player who does everything. I believe that this is how it should be. Feel free to disagree with me but I believe that players who do everything they can to power level should reach the level cap faster. Just my opinion. The point is that solo players can reach max level and most definitely will. It will just take longer since they cant rely on clan engrams from raids and trials anymore.

 • And you are right. I have no issue with Raid and Trials people getting rewarded for their efforts. However I think that should be with unique armor and weapons not a different power level. Faster climb to max fir them makes sense too as long as it's possible eventually for all. Thanks.

 • I re-read the post and I see now where they say it may be possible but near impossible for solo weekly play to hit max. My third character now, who can hit 334, is still getting 323 drops so I am NOT confident the system will work how they think. Per the article... Players who don't participate in any group weekly activities are unlikely to hit the hard cap before the next release

 • Ye I don't know man we'll just have to see how it pans out I guess. I've been reading around on twitter and reddit and seems alot of players, including solo players, are happy with the change since they will always have something to work for. Either way bungie had to so something because the game is too easy right now.
