Or what Luke Smith said about a soft reboot? . So whatever 2 builds on is true, things that changed between 1 and 2 and future dlc is “false”. Because they are retconning the story and they need a way to explain the changes. Hence why they call the grimoire folklore.

It's a tragic mistake on their part. Osiris made crossed into D2. The darkness is still in D2. It's a weak excuse to make up for the past mistakes

Dude I agree it was a bad move and badly handled. But in the end it is what it is, they gave themselves a way to explain it and have always done horrible job telling us these things. But the silver lining is that if they’ve settled on a storyline for the rest of the franchise they can focus on refining instead of making it. Which is easier then making it, we just don’t know the quality of story we will get. They’ve dropped some hints about Ulan-tan Symmetry in D1 and good bit in D2. Makes me curious.

Yeah me too. The dude who came up with Ulan tan idea isn’t the one writing anymore so it’ll be easy to fall short. I might not be either. I’ll keep up with it on YouTube or something just to see if my ideas pan out and/or to chuckle at how badly it burns.
