Of course it is. All slow firing pulses are terrible. I mentioned before the rally that the Dead Orbit pulse was the best of the limited options, but people are just trying to get all the New Monarchy armor. The DO pulse had stats similar to Grasp of Malok, and probably would have been fairly effective in pvp just like Lincoln Green.

Every weapon is terrible, literally garbage besides like 4 in a collectors game. Random rolls probably would've made 97% of guns useful. Now I'm stuck having a weapon like Does Not Compute, that has a stationary Perk, with a Moving Target perk. Makes sense.

I had to buy it for 50k, what else am I gonna use glimmer on? I just vaulted it along with other pulses I have in mothballs, until they buff pulses.

3 RepliesWeapons are a complete overlook in the grind for the factions, which is the main problems with the factions in the first place. the reward is having the best cosmetic appearance, not the best gun to improve your gameplay. if there was a buff we could get, for using a complete set of Faction armor and Weapons, that would obviously mitigate the impact of not equipping your favorite exotics to do certain grinds with. what would be good is if you get a base weapon. for your first pledge Loquitor I , then every pledge you do, you get to make that weapon more powerful, by collecting X amount of Powertokens to improve this weapon with. you accrue tokens by using the armor you have, so at the 5 pledge you have the Loquitor V which is a death machine. - there is no real reward besides the cosmetics for aligning with a faction. nothing increases your gameplay or the experience there of, most of the guns aren't completely unique. and none of them apart from Hollow Earth has a real appeal to anyone. make the lost sectors drop more loot on a planet if wearing a full set of whatever factions armor your wearing. do something. anything.... i love lamp

It's extremely similar (and [i]very slightly[/i] weaker, stat wise) than the Eystein-D. Kind of like how last rally their prized auto rife was extremely similar (and [i]very slightly[/i] weaker, stat wise) than the Halfdan-D. It's like New Monarcy visits the Gunsmith, grabs a weapon, repaints it, and then gives it a slight downgrade. Not sure why. Anyway, if you're familiar with the Eystein-D, that's basically what you're getting.

6 RepliesThis is proof that the majority of faction rally players don't care too much about the weapons from faction rallies. This is the second time in a row where NM has had the worst weapon on offer and the second time it has won, and I have to say out of all the factions, NM has the most underwhelming weapons, (I ran faction rallies with just faction weapons and armour) I would struggle to find a NM weapon I would actually use outside of faction rally. I think the issue though, is that on a whole faction weapons aren't that great and so people that participate in these tends to focus on the armour and ornaments, which I would say NM had the longer ornament grind that you couldn't just do along with other activities/milestones. EDZ patrols and super kills was pretty specific.

Yeah it's really bad, even with a kinetic counterbalance mod. Too bad because the perks are great on paper. All pulse rifles need a damage buff, and the slowest rof pulse rifles need a slight rof buff similar to what they did in D1 (with first the Lyudmila D, then all slow rof pulse rifles)

Edited by Gaddai: 2/28/2018 7:08:16 AMI have a nagging feeling that either 1) the results are always fixed or 2) people grind the rallies more for the armor set/ ornaments than the weapons (given that most prize weapons don’t look too META changing on paper). Admittedly new monarchy ornaments looks pretty sweet in comparison to the other factions (my subjective opinion). NWC gears looks a bit like a disco ball and the dead orbit hunter set looks like someone played “slip and slide” on house paint.
