Mercury question

Can mercury and the infinite Forrest simulate what is happening on other planets? Don't know if the story has answered that or if lore has either...oh and again, like mercury does it simulate with no divergence.

  • Yes it can. The only thing they couldn’t simulate before was paracausal entities, or those empowered by paracausal power. They have overcome that shortcoming, somewhat. That is why we see them simulate Guardians and the Hive in the Forest.

  • If the trailer of CoO is any indication it might be a yes, although VoG is it's own special area. At the same time though there has been vex units simulating people with frightening accuracy. With Mercury probably being a Vex mind itself with the forest being used specifically to study guardians( idk about accuracy if considering the travalers powers though ) it shouldn't be too much of a stretch, or there's another Vex planet for that.

  • In theory yes. Imagine the problem would be days. For example the more data you have on a place the better you could simulate it.

  • Sagira said they once tried to simulate the Hive home world of Fundament. Didn’t work out so well.

    • The Infinite Forest is capable of simulating anywhere and anything that is not paracausal.
