I know it is a questionable topic but I have a proposition. I don't know about the community, but snipers don't feel like a Heavy/Power weapons. The damage isn't there anymore in PVE like it was in D1. It is rare for me to see anyone use sniper in the crucible playlists. Not to mention that they are pretty scarce in PVE. What Could We Do? PVE: I can understand why they wouldn't make them overly powerful in PVE, because it might change the pace of activities if they dished out huge amounts of damage. But I think If they "slightly" buffed damage on snipers in PVE and made them available in the energy slot rather than the heavy slot, we would see an increase in sniper usage. PVP: Now the question is how will it affect PVP? I think that if you make it so snipers don't start with ammo, it would keep the ability to rush, still available to aggressive play styles. I think If you created another ammo box type in the crucible specially for snipers, much like the "Special ammo" from D1, then you would prevent all out sniping contests, but at the same time maintain the fun of sniping. You might also ask: What will happen to existing energy weapons? Since the energy weapons that exist currently are SMGs, Auto Rifles, Hand Cannons... They would remain the way they are, starting with ammo each time you spawn. I'm sure there are other tweaks that would be made, but if you could just look this over and tell me what you think, it would be appreciated. I know it would be a big change but I wouldn't mind to see a change in the current sniping population and general play style. Thanks, THECAVEMAN789
