New edit 11/23/17 After months of playing the game I now have nearly every exotic weapon. So my original thoughts on this were wrong. I have almost every weapon in the game. If anything the duplicated help span out the amount of time it takes to get all the loot. Don't get me wrong. I still don't like the loot system. I have done the raid countless times and still don't have the weapons I want from it. At this point I am just disappointed that there are no special exotic quests. No real incentive to seek out specific loot. The most frustrating thing now is that there is no variety when I turn in Engrams. For example I have ten. 7 of those will be the same armor piece. The exact same piece. I don't even care anymore lol. Feel free to read the old post. Let me just say first in my 3 years of playing Destiny I have never felt the need to comment about my engram drops. Until now. Something is seriously broken at moment. It's like all my engrams are stuck in a loop. ***New comment: Let me clear this up. It's not just about exotics. On most days I get the same 10 items. All my legendary engrams are repeats of a weapon or armor piece I already recieved 5 times before in the same day. I have not discovered a ton of stuff folks. I dont have every weapon and armor piece sitting in my vault. At best I have maybe 20 percent of the weapons and armor. I'm just asking for it to ACTUALLY BE RANDOM. There are a hell of a lot more legendary weapons and armor pieces. And for those to always be the same 15 things repeated over and over is pretty damn irritating. Now to my original post/rant lol *** The first week of Destiny I was getting a pretty nice variety of legendary, exotic, rare engram drops. Different weapons. Armor. Now I continue to get the same weapons and armor. The same exotics. The EXACT same legendary gear. Not even different pieces. Like the same Kerak type 2 chest and arms over and over and over. I've recieved like 5 Origin story Auto rifles from Zavala for turning in strike tokens. At this point I almost know it will be 10 or 15 different armor and weapon pieces TOTAL that I continue to get repeat engram drops of. I don't even care if the loot I get sucks. It would just be nice if it were a suprise every once and a while. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change my loadout? Do different activities? I thought every engram would be random. IT IS 100 PERCENT NOT RANDOM RIGHT NOW. If this game can't get the loot right we are in serious trouble.
