How could you give hotfixes a C. Other games have a bug and fix it in hours. Bungies takes weeks or months lmfao

  • Because they made a ton of QOL fixes for D2 that made getting around much easier. Remember orbit? Landing zones? The new shader system (the design is right implementation is wrong). To me a C is nothing to celebrate.

  • Ahhh I see. I agree with you for QOL changes for sure. But hotfixes I would give them a D- I think splitting the 2 sections up would have made more sense to me. I got confused lol. Games like fortnite have a glitch and patch it in hours at most. Destiny has an emote that can glitch through walls and it takes weeks and they shut down features of the game. This is just one example I can think of currently

  • I agree but remember that Fortnite is far less complex. But yes, the hotfixes are often laborious.

  • I remember when one tiny little fix could've taken a day, but Bungie had to be Bungie and take almost an entire year to fix it.

  • Yeah, their comment to apply a patch before the next faction rally. It needs fixing now during this faction rally. If players couldn’t use guns or supers because of a hotfix they would have to sort it sharpish but because it gives them a month to sort it before the next rally then they can just wait it out for a few weeks as this rally will be done on Tuesday. I applaud Chris Barrett for having the decency to address the community over every incident as Luke Smith hid in shame. Chris Barrett is trying to get things sorted but I feel there is more going on a bunglevision that is preventing him from moving the fixes quickly along. I don’t know if his team are incompetent or he has virtually no staff to work on the fixes. Whatever the reasons I don’t think it’s Chris Barrett’s leadership. Bunglevision is in a very bad place as a development company at the moment. It’s all bad publicity for 4 months now. That cannot be good for moral or company share prices. Like I said there is more going on in the background than they are letting on.

  • Also, they call a 7 hour maintenance downtime a 'hotfix'. While a hotfix requires a game restart, AT WORST. Sometimes not even that.
