I see the witcher 3 as a perfect game.
Fallout and elder scrolls games are perfect game structures, provided their exceptional and entertaining stories.
So what will Bethesda do to enhance their experience to rival that of CD Projekt Red?
Can CD learn anything from Bethesda?
Will other RPGs rise to encompass such a mass player base and timeless story?

Edited by What I Look Like: 1/26/2018 1:52:36 AMImplying they have to compete with Witcher devs? Witcher 3 was a nice spike but the first two games didn't get that love. The Elder Scrolls series has been loved for ages now. Oblivion was art, Skyrim was art, 6 is going to blow Witcher 3 (aka dodge-fest or talk-athon) out of the water. Only thing Witcher has on Skyrim (a game 4 years older than it) is dialogue options and choices having a larger/ farther reaching effect on the outcome of the story. It was the only reason I could justify playing a game with so many missions eventually you only pull like 12 XP for them each. The game that heavily leaned on its narrative. A game with combat that starts off easy and only gets easier as you progress. No thought to it, dodge and slash.. rinse and repeat. Most enemies had a max of maybe 4 moves you had to memorize, 99% were able to be sidestepped. I feel like whenever anyone talks about the Witcher 3 here I post a word wall, but I am tired of people treating it like some pinnacle of gaming. There is PLENTY wrong with the game lol.

I fear the next elder scrolls will disappoint but I hope not.

Skyrim: Super Legendary Edition
-
They have been pumping out similar system games for a while now. They know that what they make will make money, so they won't change anything big. Or they will simplify stuff even more.
-
Edited by FrostD: 1/20/2018 3:51:25 AMBethesda will respond by being Bethesda. Their games don't need to be perfect. Their games don't even need to evolve. Their fans love them the way they are. So Their "rivals" mean little to them.
-
People are idiots if they think the combat is better in Skyrim. All you did was tap l1 and r1 repeatedly.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 1/23/2018 4:41:13 PMNAh, Bethesda is as predictable and monotonous as CoD games. It’s the same exact game in a different setting every. single. time.
-
Nope lmao
-
Still waiting for them to buy the Turok IP and throw that in with TES and Fallout, if we’re being honest.
-
Nah, Bethesda just does their thing. But maybe a new engine?
hahahaha, no "we just tweaked our creation engine to fit the needs of this new project" "It just works" -Future Todd Howard
-
Bethesda is an overrated piece of shit.
-
The Witcher 3 is next level sht enough said
-
I see "freemium" in Bethesda's future. It'll cut out Nexus while simultaneously pushing Creation Club.
-
I want TES to stay the same. I don’t want any cutscenes while I’m choosing what line of dialogue I’m going to say. I genuinely just want it to be similar to Skyrim but on a different map and characters, powers and abilities etc
-
Witcher 3 perfect? Man, do people have standards anymore?
-
Edited by MattyFez: 1/22/2018 12:27:16 AMAs Julian LeFay said, Todd Howard is a bad DM. He cannot make RPGs
-
I'm liking Assassins Creed Origins more than The Witcher 3, but they all fall short of Dark Souls.
-
Nah. Bethesda shouldn't try to out-Witcher the Witcher and try to make their games similar to such. Bethesda should just keep building on what the fans love about the Fallout/Elder Scrolls experience.
-
Well Skyrim and Fallout are VR, The Witcher 3's still stuck in the flat age
-
I would imagine Bethesda might pilfer a few ideas. Assassins Creed did and it worked out great.
-
So what will Bethesda do to enhance their experience to rival that of CD Projekt Red?
Skyrim but now it's on mobile
-
I love how a singleplayer RPG game from 2011 has more people playing it than your precious, "perfect" game. Just admit it your game isn't even close to perfect, fanboy.
-
Make the next TES game so casual that you can use the auto play option and watch
-
Make "Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Remastered Enchanced Edition"
-
Edited by Kool Prodigy: 1/19/2018 2:20:13 PMThe only game I can see dethroning The Witcher 3 is Cyberpunk 2077, although I really want a Witcher 4 :(
-
I might get hate for this, and yes I loved Witcher 3 and Platinum trophied the game. I think kingdom Come Deliverance might end up being better than Witcher 3 and Skyrim. Comes out in a few weeks too on all platforms.
