Been here since September 9nth 2014. Defended your choices all the way up to now. Played when people lost faith but that’s it I’m done. Your constant mistakes and false promises has done the number on me and I seriously just cannot be arsed. I’m sorry Bungo but you lost me. I’ll play Gods of Mars when it comes but till then I’m outta here. Gonna go back to Manhattan and join my fellow agents, got the rest of ancient Egypt to explore and the death of a child to avenge all far more interesting then the shitty friendgame. You guys killed the franchise and thus have put off your hard core audience. I reasoned with logic all the time I could but your choices have shown that you don’t listen and don’t care. The eververse problem, the lack of content, the problems with the loot system and levelling mechanics. All stuff that you said to resolve and you just clearly haven’t.
I’m done, I’m just done
Peace people see you soon maybe idk
Oh yeah PS: -blam!- EVERVERSE
Edit: I understand that some of you guys on here enjoy the game and that’s fine. You’re entitled to have your own opinions on it and that’s that, just as I’m entitled to have my own. But for me at my point of view, I think Bungie have gone too far with their design choices. For example, why get rid of strike modifiers and strike specific loot? Both these were features loved in D1 so why aren’t they in game? My mention of me being a Destiny 1 a player is not to gloat or brag, it’s too simply say that I’ve been with the franchise for a while, despite the negativity and now I’m done. If you enjoy D2 like I did, keep going, keep having fun as you’re entitled to do so. Myself on the otherhand, do not enjoy it anymore, so I’m gonna go do something else now.

Edited by Nimmer: 1/19/2018 5:17:45 PMFanboys defending things that were indefensible is one of the biggest reasons D2 is a pile of garbage. D1 was an okay game. It had pros and it had cons. But no one could could talk about the cons cause, you know, fanboys. D1 and D2 both are still P2P. P2P in this generation is downright embarrassing. It's a massive design flaw that raises a ton of serious questions about how invested Bungie actually is in their game and giving players a good experience. Just being P2P is a huge issue. If they truly cared about the experience they provide, they would have dedicated servers for their players. But they don't; they haven't cared since the beginning. I thought it was laziness in D1, but I couldn't even talk about it because, you know, fanboys. Northgard, an Indie game in open beta that costs $20, has dedicated servers for their game. But a studio like Bungie can't get their players dedicated servers to play on? Come on... we have had huge, giant, waving red flags since D1 and all of the fanboys rallied and defended the game. So what happens? D2 is a giant pile of money-grubbing, microtransaction-filled garbage. If you let a company take advantage of you, they're going to do it on repeat. D2 is a product of people like OP accepting garbage for years, just because it's Bungie.

Edited by tonycawley: 1/19/2018 2:53:49 AMOh wow you're a destiny 1 vet! I'm utterly amazed, I kneel before you. Oh wait, we're all destiny 1 vets. Idiot.

It is apparent to anyone who does the SLIGHTEST amount of research that Bungie treats it's players with damn near disdain. It's false hype, letdown, fake apology, fake "fix" , repeat. it's an FPS casino now with Eververse at the hub of all the caps , loot nerfs and progress throttling. They publically stated that they would "trickle a slower drip feed" of content because they were tired of making content for this game and would make money with Eververse instead. This is all LITERAL and researchable fact. This is NEVER going to change and it's woefully obvious.

The game needed defending? You defended?🤔

All yall a bunch of liars...when destiny 3 comes out you know damn well youre gonna pre order that shit lol

Edited by BannedMythicAccount: 1/19/2018 4:39:37 AMTook 4 years to break the conditioning for OP. think about it 4 whole years and ONLY when things have reached rock bottom. This is the type of industry product that MUST be regulated to have that kind of psychological effect on people. Financial limits on greed and a benchmark for minimum effort standards that go into full release titles and DLCs. Mixed with limiting psychological research into keeping players consumed by shady business tactics. Makes you think about those still out there after all these YEARS who are still willfully ignorant. How many still out there? Being guardians on the forums...

No apologies necessary. I’m always close to the door myself anymore.

Yeah this game sucks

Yeah, this game sucks.

Makes me glad I've stopped playing this excuse for a decent game months ago. It didn't and still doesn't have the same pull as the original Destiny.

Edited by iBett x: 1/19/2018 1:17:31 PMDestiny 2 is boring and that's it summed up in a nutshell. D1 (for me) was never that boring as there was always something to look for or gain.
-
What is with all these I quit posts followed by "but I'll be back for the next DLC"? That'll really show Bungie won't it.

Edited by QuissPickly: 1/19/2018 11:35:58 AMUnderstandable. I'm also a player from vanilla Destiny 1 and it was a game that is very special to me. It was a pretty crappy time in my life and sadly it was the only place I felt powerfult. I am extraordinarily thankful to Bungie for the escapist lifeline they threw me with that game but now it has just morphed drastically. It seems all the lessons learnt from D1 and hard work done by the live teams which made the end-product so fantastic has been disregarded and thrown out the door, replaced with what feels like an exercise in marketing and microtransactions. It is so much harder to swallow given what existed only 4 months ago. In the end, I feel betrayed as a lifelong fan and disrespected as a consumer. The throttling and misguidance, the communication that feels almost posthumous to the game in conjunction with the dumbing down of the games core character and weapon builds has led to this product which is to its predecessor as Nero was to Augustus. I want this game to succeed, to be the magical gaming experience I practically breathed for years in the original. The state of affairs is saddening but was ultimately entirely avoidable. I wish Bungie the best of luck in rebuilding this house of cards they've constructed in being a single product studio, but trust once lost is not easily regained.

EA: "We can destroy any game faster than anyone else with Microtransactions, muahahahahahaha!" Bungie: "Hold my my eggnog"

Okay, so, he's just saying he's a D1 vet just to show he's liked their game since the beginning but is tossing that out because the game is so shitty. It isn't because of entitlement or because he's measuring dicks with you idiots.
-
Exactly the same. Looking forward to the AC Origins DLC though. There's a franchise that learnt from its mistakes and made a much better game.
I’m done sorry, I can’t defend you anymore (D1 vet)
I feel the same. I did defend Bungie for a while there, but I'm over it now as well. They're not doing enough to rescue this game, and I can't really be bothered even logging on anymore.
Gonna go back to Manhattan and join my fellow agents
If I see you in the dark zone. (watch your back) :)
