• I ended up quitting Destiny 2 about 2 weeks after i bought it, I honestly thought there was hope for this game, considering there was an actual store in the game itself this time, and I've enjoyed the pvp from the first Destiny game. But the out right clawing for more money from Bungie and its Eververse was just too much of a put off. If Bungie actually ever did KILL TESS, I would consider coming back to Destiny 2, I'd even consider spending a little extra for the Curse of Osiris DLC. Bungie has been going on and on about how they are ''listening to customer feed back'', well here are your customers giving you feed back guys, KILL TESS!

Sorry Bungie/Acitivision...but the way you've been conducting yourselves recently has been true BS. I am not completely against micro-transactions to help support games (when they deserve it). But the fact that the first expansion and the first Dawning live event threw most of the new gear behind a random loot box paywall is unacceptable. It's a lazy money grab. The Vex themed armor for Curse of Osiris shouldn't be sold from a currency kiosk. The same with the Dawning themed armor. These pieces of gear should be earned through events, quests, or challenges related to the live event or expansion. When I have acquired a set of armor or some weapons in this game, I should be able to look back and say "wow...that grind was kinda long but totally worth it!". I shouldn't look back and say "wow....I just paid an additional $40 and only got half of the armor set....but I got 4 of the same ship". When I see other players running around the social area with these full armor sets, I know that they didn't put the time in to acquire them. They just pulled out their credit cards. This is not the way it should be. Back in D1: Rise of Iron, I was curious about your introduction of "Dusty Iron Engrams" and later, the "Exodus/Triad/etc Engrams" that you added to the factions in Age of Triumph. While it was nice to add a way to get old gear (the gear that actually looked good....I'm lookin at you Hunter Sojourn Armor and Warlock Nerigal Savant Armor), it was sad that you put it behind random loot boxes. I had no idea that those engrams were just a test platform for the crappy loot boxes and engrams that you implemented in D2. Eververse needs to either become a source for emotes and your crappy consumable shaders only, or removed entirely.

  • Imagine if those items were obtainable via secret achievements and missions in the game. Say if you get the Sweeper Bot emote for clearing all of the story/adventure icons off your map. Or you get an emblem, ship, shader for completing a raid on prestige with not a single player dying, how meaningful would those items be now? Players want something to remember thier achievements to either show it off to randoms or their friends. I remember in Destiny 1, the aww I felt when do seen someone with a flawless ornament. That was something that could only be obtained be completing one of Destiny's most difficult challenge, and those ornaments showed that off. If you seen someone with a full set of Trials- ornaments, you knew they meant business. These also could lead to loads of more gameplay opportunities to get yourself engaged in. The Sweeper Bot example may inspire someone who is not interested in the more, to go through all the story missions and adventures because they want that emote. They might even enjoy themselves. The prestige raid example would add tons to do in game. You may really want tat ship, shader, emote, etc. and so you try the challenge with your friends, only to fail because you're not powerful enough. That would promote going through the other  activities to become more powerful and then try again. Eververse takes all of this potential away and it is severely limiting and hurting was D2 is capable of.

#removeeververse

    • REMOVE EVERVERSE They should also make the Expansion Pass a PART of the game, release all DLc and Expansion for free..make Destiny 2 a FULL GAME experience, stop cutting content out of the game to then instead sell as "DLC" or "Expansions"!!!

Oh you want that exotic but you're a casual, 25 million for that... Or lets do tokens how fun would that be guys? 500 tokens for the blue 1000 for the purple oh you're a casual 2500 tokens for the Exotic that eludes you. Yes this will be funny.

    •
Contact the ESRB and let them know games like destiny should be rated mature Games with lootboxes should be rated mature. Easiest way to get rid of eververse is to get the rating changed for destiny 2. If a couple thousand complain that lootboxes are not for childern Bungie will be forced to make changes. They can't afford to be a mature game.
• Kill it or at least stall it. They need to focus on making a good game before further monetising it. They’ve already made pleny of money now they need ro focus on making D2 a game for the players.

        • Pay to play is never advantageous to the hardcore player nor progressive to the masses. Pay-to-play, which is what Eververse has devolved to, analogous to freemium games caters to the most addictive personalities and unfortunately for oneself, completists. Sequential and seemingly perpetual glitches and bugs that have been all but intentionally released have impaired the playability in nearly every aspect of Destiny 2. Bungie must ameliorate this not just address it and equivocate or watch as your dwindling loyal fan base fizzles out. Bungie be truly benevolent this holiday season and recify your mistakes!

          • Im going to post this to as many first page Remove Eververse posts as possible. Let me explain something to you, and maybe you will see why spamming the forums won't work. The only way Eververse will ever be removed, is if it no longer is profitable. Its that simple. You could spam 100 forum pages with "Remove Eververse", and it will do NOTHING, as long as people spend money in game. What you really need to do, is find a way to get people to stop spending money in game. That won't be easy, and is likely why everybody tried spamming the forums, because its easy. Convincing everybody to stop spending will take time, effort, and rational well presented facts to support your stand. After that, it will take finding, and using, every available method of getting it out to people. Simply sending messages saying "you dumb ass quit buying from Tess", (I have gotten those just cashing in an earned bright engram), will not help either, nor will spamming the forums with "Don't buy from Eververse". You need to use tact and facts to change things, and you need to put some effort and work into as well. You also need to respect the fact that some people do not mind spending money for things, and need to find a way to explain to them, respectfully, why it hurts the game community. Find the way to convince people to quit spending, you will see Eververse no longer a part of Destiny. If you, and everybody else that spammed the forums can not see that, nothing will change.

            • What about keep eververse but remove silver and bright dust and just have bright engrams obtainable by doing activitys instead of through xp. I doubt bungie will because its where they get the most profit but i think what happend to EA has put the fear into the AAA game company's and that the players will fight back so bungie need to be careful how they handle this. If the government ban loot boxes then they will have to get rid of them. EA was the beginning.
