My Vision For The Infinite Forest.

An Endgame Encounter Playlist, basically. Instead of running a whole strike, I think, one could run just the boss encounter. Not just encounters that already exist, but new ones. Boss variety wouldn't need to be insane, there should just be small differences in attack pattern, weapons, shields and ways to destroy them, etc. The mods and escalating difficulty would be enough, and original bosses are hard to come up with. There would be 100 different bosses. At first, there would be no mods. Nice and easy, a minute to beat. The usual loot, 2 tokens, 1 blue. But the further you go, the more intense the action would get. As you go on: -More Enemies (Every 10) -Higher Powered Enemies (Every 25) -More Modifiers (0 at first, 1 after 25, 2 after 50, 3 after 75) -Better Loot (Every 10, more likely to get Legendary, every 20, more likely to get Exotic and Exclusive) -More Simulated Tokens (collective groan) (Every 10) There would be 100 total rounds to this mode, the last with maximum difficulty. This would guarantee to drop new exclusive weapons and armor you didn't have before. Speaking of which: Exclusive Gear. There should be a set of class armor and a set of PvE weapons. For Warlocks: Simulated-## [type of gear] For Hunters: //File/[type of gear]/ For Titans: [type of gear] Transmission And for weapons: -Kinetic High Impact HC -Kinetic High RoF AC -Energy Adaptive SR -Energy High RoF PR -Power GL [for clearing ads] -Power SR [low zoom, automatic, good for DPS] All of these would have perks optimized for PvE usage. The armor wouldn't even have to LOOK that good. It would just have perks that are decently useful for PvE, since raid gear doesn't. You could earn these through guaranteed high level drops at 25, 50, 75, which are against Vex Simulation Over-lookers, basically Harpies the size of Gate Lords. They will drop 1 that you may or may not already have. You could also use Simulated tokens (groan, but they're already in the game, why not) that drop from encounters to RNG them from a passive Vex unit in the entry passage. But the best way to earn it is by beating the boss at the end, the Vex Simulation Head Overlooker. You face one of these at 25, 50, and 75, but this one is massive. About the size of Argos, for perspective. It would have original mechanics and be genuinely challenging. The reward would be 1-2 pieces of Exclusive loot you have or have not received yet and 1 guaranteed Exotic, along with other pieces of Legendary loot, all of it at max level (it can drop at for your character). The replay-ability factor? The fact you could keep going to get max level loot weekly (the Forest's 25, 50, 75, 100 Exclusives chests would reset weekly, but tokens, legendaries, etc. could still be earned) would be where this longevity would come from. But the best of the best loot would come from the feature: Unyielding Tickets It's a ticket that would function similarly to the TotN tickets. The ticket is a triangle, and has 9 smaller triangles on it. The triangles glow blue. The thing is, when your full fireteam dies during any given encounter in the Forest (there are no revives once an encounter begins) you have to restart that encounter. For the average player, it's just a minor nuisance. But every time that happens when you have a ticket, one of the triangles glows red. If all of them glow red, then you lose the Unyielding reward that comes at the end of this, which is basically the same as the flawless Trials bonus reward, where you choose an item that you want to take, and you receive a Legendary Emblem that keeps track of your Unyielding completions. And the icing on the cake, Simulated Ornaments for your Forest armor. One per Unyielding completion. It would make it look all... Vexy and stuff. Quality of Life: 2 additions would make this even better. 1.) Skip Portal Usage Would cost 10 tokens per usage. This would allow you and your fireteam to access a portal that appears in the entryway that would instantly teleport you to Encounter 20. It would negate any sort of progress, positive or negative, for the Unyielding ticket. Better for players who don't have a lot of time or just want to get one weekly chest and get out. The difficulty for this encounter wouldn't change, though. Would also give a usage for excess tokens. 2.) Checkpoints Pretty self explanatory. The fireteam leader could have a checkpoint for 26, 51, 76 (start of those rounds) and the start portal would take them directly there. Resets weekly. That's my vision for how the Infinite Forest should look. No opening doors for 10 minutes for a few rares, but a fleshed out Endgame activity. If you think that's a good idea, make sure to upvote so Bungie (might) see, and comment down below on suggestions you have for this version of the Forest. Thank's for reading! P.S. No timers. Timers are just... awful. Like maybe a timer for less rewards every five minutes so some noobs couldn't hide in a corner for an hour and get the same rewards as someone who does it in a few minutes.
