Spawning items in the air in Forge?

Is there an option to spawn items in the air but have gravity take effect when the game starts? Like dropping fusion coils? Or do we still have to spawn them and shoot them while falling? Or do objects like that automatically fall when the game starts, even if their location is fixed?

 • This is what you do. Grab a fusion coil. While still holding it, set it's physics to Fixed. Then you let go of it, and it sits there in mid air. Now you need to change it's physics back to normal so it will fall, don't grab it again though. Just press X on it and change the setting back to normal. It will sit there in mid air until you hit it. After hitting/shooting it. It will continue to fall from that spot. Now that they are falling and making the boom, Save it or start a new round. They continue to fall and not sit in the air. No need to sit them on anything first. It's a matter the way to change the physics.

 • set building block to fixed then set it to normal, but make sure you have a good quick respond time so it doesn't take forever to respond..........

 • Bungie has stated that NOT ALL objects will be able to be fixed/phased. ie: Pallets, Fusion Coils, etc.

 •
Posted by: Fertilizer Man
Posted by: SCHMORG 3 Fixed plane. Put tons of fusion coils on top. Delete plane.
Why does this work with fusion coils and not building blocks? Do different items react differently to gravity? If I have a coil set to fixed, will it remain in the air when I let go, or fall when the game starts?
he means that if you want the fusion coils to fall you set up a fixed plane but then switch to normal physics and then place the fusion coils on top so when you delete the plane they fall but still respawn up in the air(so you can make explosions) that would work with any object.

 • Amongst scenery objects there are movable and immovable objects. Movable objects, such as fusion coils, fall to gravity and can be pushed around by players or vehicles. Immovable objects, like most structural objects, do not.

 •
Posted by: Atom Alchemist this really really depends on what item your talking about
Let's just use fusion coils as an example for now. I assume building blocks and scenery won't be able to have this effect. But weapons, vehicles, and whatever fusion coils are in? I guess we could try to find someone with a leaked copy to test it out?

 • set them on something movable, or breakable in forge, then pop the support in the game. I know this probably wasn't what you were looking for, but just tossing that out there.

 • Will probably work the same way it did in H3. Not sure, though.
