Damaged Starting Gear
Anyone else keeping hold of their damaged starting gear in case Bungie find an interesting use for it down the track?

3 RepliesEdited by The1mystique: 11/11/2019 11:33:53 PMWhen I transferred my account to steam, all I had was my armor that was op... it was pretty decent and looked dope. I had no backups, and now my light level is 93. All I have now is that broken gear (light level 0), and a deadzone rifle (light level 750). Also I had a bow, 4 legendary drop ships, 2 legendary bikes(or 3... I just liked the one I had equipped with a speed of 190 so I don't really care about the rest... they were nice to flex with though), and it's all gone. The game isn't recognizing that I did all the quests, and now I have to play through again, which isn't as fun at this point. I'm extremely disappointed in BUNGiE and this needs to be fixed. The worst part of it is that I spent real money on silver and that doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I know how to keep the starting gear before it’s damaged.

If they do they’ll just let everyone get the new armor anyway even if they didn’t keep the damaged gear. Same as the shaders from Festival of the Lost.

I have been holding onto it as well, just in case... It would be awesome if we could infuse it and use it. I kind of like the battle damaged look.

5 RepliesI have the broken gear and normal gear(you get them from Ikora). Have fun grinding for it as you get multiple duplicates.

I kept the busted Ghost Shell, just so I fan make Nolan look sad.

I keep anything that's unique, tied to a limited time event or just otherwise noteworthy.

3 RepliesNot only did I save the starting armor but I saved the guns too. Plus I fought Ghaul with the starting armor and guns equipped.

Keeping it for use in random loadout challenges with friends when private matches are added!

The only thing I’m optimistic about is the travelers chosen weapon. I doubt anything comes from the damaged armor

I've still got it. But the moment my vault is full, I'm ditching it. I learned my lesson from D1, there's not enough vault space to be sentimental. Bungie have made it clear that they don't have any respect for the time and effort we've put into obtaining our stuff, so now I'm just not getting attached to any of it.

2 RepliesKept all 3 armor sets. The shotgun equippable at level 1, travelers chosen (the sidearm you start with) and the smg you pick up off the dead guardian. Do I think bungo will do anything with any of these items? No... not at all 😆 Just keep em cuz why not. Also increase vault space.

1 ReplyI remember D1 hunters starting with a very stylish scarf. I kept that scarf for the whole game on my character. As for D2, theres no scarf of that sort. A pity.

1 ReplyI saved my khvostov in D1, and guess what? It became an exotic. I've kept all the starter gear in case a similar thing happens.
