not enough high impact scout rifles

I noticed something about destiny 2's scout rifles that concerns me, almost all the scout rifles are high rate of fire/low impact scout rifles. yes, I know the high rate of fire scout rifles like the Mida PvP at the current moment, but we still need more Hugh impact scouts. there are only a few high impact scouts, and most of them are only rare and are unable to infuse. and most of the the legendary ones are locked behind faction rally, iron banner, and crucible packages. yes, I know this may sound like me just complaining, but most of the high rate of fire scouts are pathetic compared to a high impact, and it should not take two head shots to kill a Thrall ( I'm looking at you Call to Serve). what do you thing, do you agree?

  • Given how the low rate of fire scouts are unrewarding and shitty, not too upset about that

    • Nameless Midnight is enough for me. I don't need multiple scouts with high impact when there's at least one that has it, assuming RNG is nice to me and I get it.

          • So you need more scout rifle variety? I currently have 19 different legendary or exotic scout rifles. These range from Rounds per minute of 150, 180, 200 to 260. The Mida is a 200 rounds per minute scout. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

            • I agree fully with this I belive Mida needs a small nerf maybe even -2% damage in pvp that should take a extra hit to kill or maybe even two depending on where u hit, on the other hand high impact scouts shoul maybe 3 shot to head four to body (tho two head one body should kill as well) I’m not sure what the damage buff would have to be but it shouldn’t be as powerful as a hand canon image a long range hand canon *yikes* so the buff has to be carfully considered

              • There are actually quite a lot of them. Most of the kinetic ones are high impact.

              • What is needed for hi scouts to be effective is the ability to add a perk through mods. Being able to add something like snapshot or explosive rounds to SOJ or Frontier Justice would take weapons that are meh and make them great. Right now the only one that feels worth using is the song of justice because of autoloading. If the weapons could reduce the time to kill on adds or bosses in pve that would be one thing, but the fact that they still take two shots to kill the weakest enemies, and the fact that weapons like nameless midnight do more dps, and the fact that they bounce way too much to be effective in crucible, there's currently no reason for this weapon to exist.

                • Sorry, are there higher-impact scouts than Does Not Compute, Song of Justice, the Dead Orbit Scout etc?

                    • I hear you. These are my thoughts... I REALLY like high impact scouts too (used them in D1). But where I think they struggle is stability. It takes so long to fire inbetween shots. And to me you can't afford to be moving all over the place to recenter your shot. In D2 I'm no longer using high impact cause all their stability stinks, and makes to to hard to aim when you have to shoot as fast as possible. As far as not being enough of them and 2 head shots to kill a thrall. We are just starting out in D2, and have yet to get more weapons out of DLCs. So over time, I do have high hopes for more high impact scouts. As far as 2 head shots for a Thrall... Again remember we're still in the process of getting higher light. In D1 we had up to level 40 with 400 light. In D2 We're level 20 with a max of 305 light. If they had one shot kills at this low level, there will be less benefit to leveling up (shorter times to kill). I hear you though, I'd like to have a good solid high impact scout. I would enjoy some one shot kills to Thrall and enemies a little higher. But I think 50+% of people are forgetting we lost our weapons and light and are starting starting over in a new game (not a new DLC for D1). :) ...That's my 2 cents! :) :)
