None of the antagonists so far even seem to know who our speechless guardian is. There is never really a personally emotional reaction to our guardian. It’s like we are just some reservists in the local militia. Our guardian is never targeted. Where is the hate?

1 ReplyThe main problem is that Bungie has been absolutely terrible at the story telling... Deliberately so... I can one by one lay out the plot points that indicate your relevance in all this. I can point out how first the stranger, and then Eris, then the queen chose you to be at the center of their conflicts, how when Oryx came he only manifested to you... Rather or not he was there to take the system, his main interest was you... But none of this would you know for how bad the story telling is and how little relevance you feel. Hell. All you really get is a few scenes that are like riding through pirates of the Caribbean in destiny 2 like the scene with Zavala popping his bubble... I?t legitimately feels like he's just sitting there doing that animation over and over and over again rather there's a guardian there or not. Their characters are like anamatronics.... Look. I know people want to act like this game has a huge story, but realistically this is the most piss puddle shallow example of story telling I've ever seen in a game series. Nobody knows what's going on, most people don't even pay attention to the voice overs. Even if we did have a nemesis nobody would care.
