Just curious. Which was better: the first iteration of PVP in D1 or D2? Leave your comments as to why below.

D2 pvp is boring. Ttk and 4s. In yr 1 when nerfs started happening we joked about using pillows and pea shooters in the crucible. Didnt think it would actually happen 🙁

Vanilla D1 pvp was a mess where auto rifles were solid and other primaries were"meh". Snipers/shotguns/fusions were godly and ammo for them was abundant, which meant instakills were common. But I still found that more interesting than what's going on right now with D2. At least I could pick the mode I wanted. 6v6's also felt way better than 4v4's.

The level of customization and being able to choose exactly what you wanted to play in both PvE and PvP make Destiny 1 vanilla better than D2. The only thing D2 has improved upon, IMO, is mantling and quick travel. Everything else got nerfed into dust. The base game for D2 is so bad that Bungie will never be able to make D2 as good as D1 ended up being. New static rolls every few months is not customization. It's just a bandaid on a gaping wound. And PvP will never be the same. D2 is pretty but is little more than Barbie Dress Up with guns. Should be an award for the most disappointing game of the year.
