[b]I was going to buy Copy of Destiny 2 for a friend just few days after bought it to myself, but won't do it cause important socialising feature is missing..[/b] Missing in 2018... WTF.. :/ Then with having General / Area Chat Was going to stream Destiny 2, make review at my IGN Blog & share it. [b]I guess Bungie doesn't understand that there would be manyyy more adventurers in D2 with General / Area chat being available.[/b] If this Chat that's been requested for Pc community since October in Destiny 2's Reddit, here & everywhere won't be available by May / June then i'll start going for refund. Chat can't be spammed in Wow & in many other Mmo products. Shouldn't be hard for Bungie to create similar / same. If won't have it by then it's time for very negative review & share around the web. [b]Bungie is losing cash for sure from missing Pc people because they force lack of social activity on this beauty[/b] :( Atm. want to adventure further in beautiful Destiny 2 & wait for new times to "hope" hear Nathan Fillion speaking as he did voice over for one character, but can't cause missing this Important Feature. Good to know that also Gina Torres have made VO for D2. I think i haven't heard of her speech yet. Both were in beautiful Firefly that was Axed many seasons 2 early :/ [b]Nathan will be soon again in new "again y heh" Cop serie & he has beautiful & talented Co star from amazing Dark Matter series. I would really love a social channel... just allow the player to opt in or opt out. Then those who want in will be happy, and those who don't want to socialize just opt out! Easy peasy. PLEASEEE ADD THIS INTO THE GAME!! I really like this game, but I wish it was more social!

D2 is probably the most anti-social game i've played since mid '90 due to the lack of such features. Maybe it worked out well for consoles, i wouldn't know, but my excitement for the game has been gone in less than 1 week after i started playing, as i was looking for a clan to join so i can start doing group content and learn more about the game. Immediately got disillusioned and disappointed when i found out i couldn't communicate with players around and even those that sent me clan invites. Don't get me wrong, i know how to join/leave a clan, this not about that. However i'm that kind of person that would like to get to know someone just a tiny bit someone before hand. Edit: Wow... Reading some the comment below just to find out there isn't even a clan chat. I'm speechless...

Lack of chat/communication tools has dulled my excitement for the game. A large part of the "MMO" experience is centered around social interaction and it's completely absent here. You try out these games for the story, game world, gameplay, challenge, etc... but most often what gives the game longevity and keeps a player hooked is the community and friendships they've built while in game. With these features missing I'm bored of the "game" already.

They seriously need to implement a general chat. Fireteam chat is incredibly lame and it's disheartening to see people trying to express themselves like mimes with emotes because some developer thought it would be a good idea to limit communication. Take pointers from the same people that are hosting your game on their digital distribution client. Stranger culture is bad for the longevity of this game.

I bought this game for PC and I honestly can't think of a single good reason for not implementing general chat. Just make it an opt-in channel so people don't see it if they don't want. Luckily I was able to get a refund. Seemed like a fun game, but I bought it because I wanted to play an MMO

BUMP . as a solo player, this is a big problem. i have no way to find a clan i know ill like in game. no way to ask more experience players random mechanical questions i think of in game. if i make a clan i have no way to recruit in game, and if i join a clan there is no way to organize clan activity's in game. i am about to finish the single player story and i can already see these problems majorly restricting my ability to play in the future. this needs to be fixed or ill see no reason to buy the expansions without a team or clan
