*hisses between teeth* Not really possible to do a simple or short answer here. D2 is...another world, I guess. It's a place I go to get away from the unpredictable stresses of life. It's demanding, in a way, but I understand and accept its demands. And the next goal is always clear. So I suppose D2 is also a routine, which is another thing I find lacking elsewhere through my own sheer disorganisation if nothing else. There's a refreshing simplicity to D2's play cycle, where everything ticks along in a predictable fashion and the only true X-factor is the behaviour of the players. That and it's got maybe the 2nd-best moment-to-moment gameplay of any ADS shooter I can name ([i]Titanfall 2[/i] is my #1, and will likely stay there for quite some time), it fleshes out the universe enough that it feels like more than just some pretty-coloured sandboxes, it's finally convinced me to start like...[i]talking[/i] to people, with my mouth, as if that's a thing I could be trusted with... D2's a lot of things to me. And sure, not all of it's good. But I don't think I could enjoy the good without some of the bad, like how finding a Uriel's Gift just today - only my 2nd, after wrongheadedly dismantling my 1st like a month ago - wouldn't be quite as exciting if I hadn't had to chew through a baker's dozen of unloved fusion rifles and weak gauntlets to get there. D2 is...home. The place I can always crawl back to.
