I know I'm kinda Slow poking on this but... OMG!!! Dr. Halsey!!! Also, was she talking to a new A.I.?

Halsey is definitely not talking to Cortana. Cortana was on the Pillar of Autumn at the time of the attack on Reach getting it ready for a mission to capture a Covenant vessel and a prophet. She was onboard the Pillar during the invasion. Presuming that Halsey is talking to whoever at the Castle base, that means Operation White Glove was not in effect yet, nor had Delta Team yet been sent to rescue her. During this timeframe is when Halsey learns of the Spartan III program. (according to Halo: First Strike) That means that most likely, Halsey is talking to Kalmiya. It's very possible that she was asking which Spartan Kalmiya wanted to be paired with. So now I wonder if well be seeing some other favorites like Fred and Kelly.

Ok, first off it is great to have Jen Taylor voicing Halsey and I am majorly excited for Reach. But I have to say, that monologue was seriously pretentious and awkward writing. "They have found our fortress among the stars." Who talks like that? Is Halsey practicing her poetry while the planet is being invaded? I know Staten can't write dialogue to save his life, but really that was poor even by his standards. I'm sure Joe is a great guy, but... whew. Script doctors exist for a reason.

Cortana is essentially a digital impression of Halsey's mind. Sharing both her knowledge and personality quirks. So it only makes sense! I'm pretty stoked to get a glimpse of all the different stories happening on Reach while we participate in Noble team's. Sorta like seeing one story influence another.

However I'm not sure if Cortana will be in the game.

Awesome! At first I was thinking Cortana? But no I knew it was Dr. Halsey. She even looks like Cortana. Good to know that Jen Taylor is also voicing Dr. Halsey. I knew she would be in Halo: Reach! Nice job Bungie! :D

Holy crap, Emile is a badass. Narrated by Halsey too, I thought the similarities between her and Cortana were running strong. This game looks too -blam!- cool.
