If it said banned, you're gone for good. If it said restriction it said how long. When you buy a new copy don't cheat. If it was your team, maybe leave when you see something going on and report them. You games have no stats at all and you thought that was normal? I'm guessing this is a full blown ban. Enjoy it, you earned it.

  • I have had a hard time with this and reading the way people have been is also rather discerning. If there was ever a person innocent it would be Jennifer. I know her personally and she did not EARN this ban. I have not been on Destiny 2 for a couple of days myself because of work. I received a text from her about this ban and after some research I am finding it hard to understand anyone being ok w/ "guilty by association". Now it is one thing to enjoy the benefits knowingly of another's hacking/cheating, however, she isn't me where I would have noticed something off, especially after a couple of flawless wins. I have played regular Crucibles with her and normally she averages 11 kills, we have gone nearly undefeated in several back to back games and we put in the work to get there. I am not sure how far my games go back for you all to review where she is in the fireteam, but our entire (small as it is) Clan do not cheat. There has to be a process to review her and her games. Otherwise this aspect of bungie is beyond flawed. I am all for banning cheaters if they legitimately committed the act, however, I am willing to put my own reputation and even account on the line for her and say she did not nor did she know that the people she was with was cheating. As for glitches, hell, I have watched myself try to kill a captain multiple times before it officially die and just chalk it up as glitch and continued. I have been in Crucible battles where the opponent I shot w/ my auto and watched his shield barely move and my 1st reaction is, (damn that dude's resistance is insane) rather than...."I wonder if he/she was hacking". Either way, please let us know how we can appeal this. If there is such a thing as "HARD EVIDENCE" then email that to her. I would love to see that "evidence"

There is no appeal. Bungie does not listen to appeals for any kind of ban. You will find that information in all the other posts of people complaining they did nothing wrong. That information is posted by moderators. There is no way in hell your friend thought every single game ending before it started was normal. She will have to suck it up like all the other people caught and either buy a new game with a new tag or not play in crucible. Game over. Here's the mod post about it in all the threads that were placed in the correct location:
In Destiny, there are bans and restrictions. Bans are permanent, while restrictions are temporary. Bungie will not discuss or overturn bans or restrictions under any circumstances. For more information visit this article: https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies/en/Help/Article/11929
• I am not sure why u r so bent on believing she was aware, as i said a dozen times, she is new to gaming period. She has never experienced hacks, never been around those who would cheat till that crap that happened. Also, i find it rather interesting that users like urself r so harsh, rather than understanding. Have u been hacked or banned n had 2 acquire a new game? Well, i refuse to accept that an innocent person has to "suck it up". Also, if u don't have nething positive or direction that could help, don't bother replying, ur then just being rude, & maybe that is something to report by itself. I am about helping & I know her personally n she is innocent.

In another comment, you said she's been gaming for almost 3 years. That's not really new. Gaming doesn't take that long to get used to. And she's obviously accustomed to gaming enough to use LFG. I've only been gaming for a couple years, I've never used LFG, and even I would know that 2+ games disconnects is beyond glitching. Edit: And why would a "new gamer" even be mildly interested in hardcore competitive Trials if they aren't even remotely familiar with what glitches are part of the norm and which ones aren't?

  • No. I've never been banned from any game of any kind. Because I don't -blam!-ing cheat. She did. She lives with the consequences. Get the hell over it.

  • she even told me she thought the game was glitching. She doesn't think like we do bro, we (I assume you have) been gaming for a long time. I have been gaming since the late 70s...yea, I just dated myself, I went from intellivision/atari to ps4 pro and gaming computers like it's nothing. She has been gaming all of 3 years. I can actually imagine her wondering what the hell, but never once thinking anyone was hacking or cheating. Even I would have just backed out thinking how I hate glitches. I looked at a few of her games, she even had deaths and no kills w/ a win, she clearly wasn't the cheater, but again dude, she's that new to our gaming world.

  • Haha dude, no one cares about your gaming history. Stop bringing it up like it has some sort of relevance to the actual topic.

  • You can imagine all you want, but there is no reasonable person I know of who thought all those instances were glitches. I own two games: Destiny and Destiny 2. I'm not a gamer. I don't play any other game. I'm not on the game for hours on end. Even I know that a game ending before it starts is not how it works. This doesn't require any form of intelligence to understand. You stated in another comment that if this ban sticks, then you're not buying another Bungie title. Okay, well, I guess you're never buying any future Bungie games, because bans are non-negotiable. Going to Sony won't help, either.

  • It does not matter how new you are to gaming. It is stated very clearly within their terms and agreement that any form of cheating or compliance with cheaters will result in a ban. You can complain all you want that you did not read their terms and agreement (maybe you should start reading those, they are quite important). But they, as I said before, have stated it. Trials requires you to be part of a fireteam (their is no random matchmaking) which means the ability to win 10 trials games, all resulting from disconnects on the enemy team, without being directly involved or suspect of cheating is highly unlikely. I don't buy it, neither does Bungie. Consider this a learning curve not to get involved with cheaters.

  • Bungie doesn't buy it because they have something known as the backend. Did you know that any college campus IT department can tell you exactly what websites you look at, which pornos you download, what your connection looks like etc. Bungie is collecting REAMS of data that is tied to a specific person as they play. When it says [DNF] on destinytracker that's Bungie's way of saying they KNOW that the people in that game were involuntarily disconnected from their servers. For us, we don't have access to the data directly, but we can access information. If you have shitty internet, YOU get disconnected, not the other team. So, maybe one game you can argue that the other team had terrible internet. But 10 games in a row means they were being forcibly disconnected. Because if it was the person directly, then THEY would get D/C'd instead. As to the 'not knowing' I don't believe this at all. You'd have to be deaf dumb and blind to not realize midmatch D/Cs are a bit weird, let alone 10 in a row. So they are either the stupidest person ever OR they know and they think they can create some sort of confusion. Except Bungie has REAMS of data they keep secret.

  • It's clear by both your responses you have absolutely no idea how the internet operates OR the insane amount of data that any organization that operates a server can collect about the data going through that server. You screaming lie, doesn't make it so. You have to come with some type of proof. Since Bungie can see every little bit of data on THEIR servers and they have the IP addresses of people AND can see the side effects of a DDoS attack on a client, you're gonna have to dig. But my guess is you cheat too and you're desperately hoping they won't catch you. But they will. So enjoy the ban that is inevitably incoming troll.
