A ray of hope for D2?

https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/76qnlp/a_conceptual_detailed_visual_rework_of_the_vendor/ A guy in my clan showed me this. This should have been implemented on day 1. 3 years working on this game and no one at Bungie came up with this? Better late than never. Edit: Bungie should pay this guy well for his ideas.

That's a start. I think if they improved the weapon mod system it would actually take care of 90% of people's complaints about random rolls and endgame grind. They should just add an additional mod slot to armor and weapons, add all weapon perks currently found on weapons as options to purchase. Add more armor mods from D1 like "increased energy ammo capacity". All that can be purchased from the arms dealer for like 20 mod components a perk. Make those perk mods be permanent so they cannot be replaced like the energy/kinetic weapon/armor mods. This would give purpose to receiving duplicates, "I got another Origin's story, I'll put firefly into this one for PVE, and HIgh-Cal perk on this one for PVP." They should give us a mod component when we dismantle a weapon or armor piece that has a legendary mod in it. They should also give component pieces when dismantling blue mods and allow you to combine like 5 pieces into one legendary mod component. This would create a more robust economy for your legendary shards, glimmer, and unwanted/duplicate loot drops. It would also give players a reason to grind strikes, public events, and crucible even after maxing out their power level. All those 294/295 blue and legendary items will finally serve a purpose. You can break them down and create mod components that you save up for specific mods that you want to purchase and add on to your favorite weapons. It would also greatly increase the feeling of diversity as people experiment with different mods on different weapon archetypes.
