Why is Bungie's favorite number 7?
It is also God's number. Did they do that because it's God's number or do they just like that number? I'm a Christian just to throw it out there, and let's not create a flame war on Religion (because I know that there is the one guy who likes to be in everyones face)

Anyways, about the number 7. There's so many references behind the number, from it being [i]lucky[/i], to all the religious references in the Bible and how Halo has a lot of religious references. I would say 7 has, by far, the most reference behind it, when you're talking about 7 it's such a broad number with so much to talk about. I would guess that's one reason Bungie would choose it. Not to mention that 7 was Bungie's thing before Halo as well, so the Halo religion references would be absolutely nothing as to how it originated or why they favorite 7.

It's their thing. It always has been, and always will. Bungiepedia says, the number Seven (7) has a hallowed place in riddles, rhymes, scripture, and lore. As a result, it is no surprise that it is Bungie's favorite number. A number filled with meaning and history, Bungie has created its own history around it as well. As a result, speculation runs wild on theories involving the number 7 in Bungie games and at Bungie Studios. Bungie, as usual, is silent on the matter. As a Christian I agree with the OP.. Using my bible on my ipod (NIV) I found 519 times the number 7 was used throughout the bible from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation.
