Yeah I'd also like to know if the bans have been lifted, and if the problem has been solved. I mean, I'm probably going to connect to Discord via Phone just to be sure, but it's a hassle. Getting no official statement at all to a problem that is clearly there, is really dissapointing.
To all the it's a Blizzard thing. Please just stop. All Blizzard games run fine with the standard apps like Discord running in the Background. Maybe Bungie should ask Blizzard for advice, if anything.

You can use discord, you just have to make sure and turn off its ability to put an overlay within the game. The modification is what kicked in the issue.

It was off, and my brother still got banned. We checked everything that could've caused it, but if you only have 3 apps running (Chrome, Destiny, Discord) and all background apps closed, it makes it really hard to know what to blame. And since there has been no official statement regarding anything related to this, I'm just scared. I don't want to risk getting banned over a communication app. If that makes any sense.

I just hope they fixed it lol, the last thing we need on the help forums is for it to be spammed on release day with all the PC people complaining about getting banned. It'll end up more of a huge deal considering a lot of release day hype is going to be for people streaming or playing the game together with others and talking to their friends through Discord.
