do jackals eat people?
ive heard that jackals eat grunts and people.like in ODST i found 2 jackal snipers in a room with a disemboweled guy.and in halo 2 the brutes almost fed the arbiter to the jackals.what do you think.

Now I will enjoy my kills on Jackals more reading that I remember in one of the books it said they were vicous but eating people, let alone grunts in your own alliance. I'de like to see them try to eat a armed Elite, maybe the Elite would feed them some Energysword.

They are called Jackals for a reason. Grunts eat people too. Both species ate human survivors at, what planet was it, Draco III?

Just because something is sentient doesn't mean that it can taste good, in terms of anatomy humans are very close to pigs. Humans also keep clean and are medicated minimizing the chance for sickness. Honestly the only thing that makes a Covvie different from a grizzly snacking on our flesh is a set of morals and knowledge of what they are feasting on.

Jackals are omnivores, so I presume they could hypothetically eat a person (though the person would have to be dead first). That said, the fact it is possible does not mean it has ever happened - humans could, technically, eat Jackals, but it doesn't mean we do.

I've seen the drones do this in data hive but not the jackels! Would love to check this out! Grunts(mentioned in fall of reach novel I think), brutes(they keep calling you dinner!) and jackels(IN the evolutions short story) will eat anything...elites prob wouldnt eat humans though

I think most Covenant don`t have a problem eating each other. Random Grunt in Halo 2,"If hungry,eat Jackal.
