Destiny 2, Gun Rolls aren't random! Why it's a good thing!

I know what your thinking, no more grinding for God rolls. OH NO my perfect rolled matador is gone! Some of you may think this is the end of the world, but look at this situation like this. It adds balance. Destiny 1 had balancing issues. God roll shotguns killing you from absurd distances, luck in the chamber sniper abuse, etc. We all know those stories. Now rather than seeing one Shotgun causing every shotgun in the game to get nerfed, this has the potential to allow Bungie to focus on specific weapons. It will add variety. Once you have the weapon, you HAVE the weapon. You won't have to spend hours, days, weeks or for some even months looking for a god roll weapon. That weapon is that weapon. It's not like the God roll Matador being the equivalent of a God roll Party Crasher. They will be DIFFERENT. There will be VARIETY. Different weapons will have different play styles. One gun won't carry you through everything anymore. Weapon Modifiers! Don't forget these exist and I'm certain we have control over them. Now before you complain let me answer some obvious statements or questions... Q-But this gets rid of so many hours of gamplay to to get this gun, I'll barely have to play! A-If you haven't realized there will be plenty of actual content to play rather than repeating everything for 1 gun and calling it "content". I'm certain you won't miss out, especially since this game will come with a larger arsenal than D1. Q-What do you mean it will add variety? Everyone will be using the same weapons!!! Q-If you are that blind everyone basically uses the same weapons as it is! Matador, Wormwood, Party Crasher, Palindrome, we mostly all know the names of these guns wether we used them, loved them or absolutely despised them. Then perks like Rangefinder or Final Round. Those are just a few examples of our version of "variety" in Destiny 1. Q-How will this balance the game? A- Look at it this way. One gun is that gun and it will always be that gun. It will stay the same, be more situation based and less perk roll based. One gun won't carry you through the crucible anymore. You won't spend days or even weeks grinding for a gun with a certain perk. Everyone will have the same guns, but that doesn't mean everyone will use the same gun. Like I said, due to set perks guns will be more situational.

  • The new system they are using takes the destiny out of destiny see a large portion of the fan based lived for that grind in the destiny world that's what made people keep coming back with out a random roll system its not hard to get literally every gun in the game within a month or way less and then never play this game again because what's the point when there is no way to get something better there's nothing for hardcore grinders to grind for and yes it did balance pvp and by balancing pvp it's turned every match in to a try hard sweat fest I think they should reimplement the random roll in pve and have a set perk in pvp they need to distinguish a difference between the two because there is going to be a huge drop in fan base when people see how limiting this really is and as for there's a lot of content giant quotation marks there just isn't there's essentially trials the raid the night fall which can all be completed rather quickly and you could probably complete this entire game in a week to 2 weeks time including all of the end game content and there is no reason to replay there's nothing to strive for that's just my piece on the issue
