So I was slow in upgrading my console and played Destiny 1 through the taken King on my xbox 360 and did not ever migrate to the xbox one. On my Birthday this year I finally upgraded to the Xbox one and since it was just two months before Destiny 2 launch I did not get rise of iron since it was winding down and I didn't want to double pay.
When I open my Destiny app it says: "No Destiny 2 Characters Rorikk on Xbox does not have any characters. Please create some characters or link a new Destiny 2 account with characters on Bungie.net to continue."
I know I have Destiny 2 characters since I was playing once the game launched and the game actually moved my Destiny 1 characters over for me. I went to my settings and made sure that my Xbox live account was linked. What do I need to do to be able to see my characters in the app? Thanks

The problem is that bungie.net still thinks the account is tied to a legacy platform as you played on the x360 and never upgraded to xbone. I have the same problem as i played ps3. The only fix for now is to play D1 on current gen console as people have said this fixes the issue, however that requires money so isnt a desirable option. Unfortunately there appears to be no other fix at this time.
