"SWEET BUSINESS" is unobtainable, rare bug?/tag glitch? [PS4]
I decided to preview an exotic engram, it showed seven possible items, one being the well known minigun "SWEET BUSINESS." (the very best weapon for my Titan, but most impossible to obtain, for me anyways)
Rolling my cursor over it to show its stats, it says in the red bar "Already added to Collection." I quickly checked my collections at the vault, which shows all my collected exotics, EXCEPT "SWEET BUSINESS." It's not there, I don't know why the game thinks I have it, but i've assumed this means I will never be able to obtain the gun from an exotic engram unless the glitch is fixed. I have picture proof, but not sure where to post it so It can link it to this post.
A reason I think this might be is...
I used the gun extensively in the closed beta (ONLY the closed beta, I never played the beta when it became public after that) So release day, I get my game from gamestop, install the game on my playstation and start it. My 2 original characters from the beta are still there (my Titan and Hunter class) however instead of continuing with them, I deleted the original titan class and created a new one. Doing this, I don't think the game recognized that all originally owned weapons (especially "SWEET BUSINESS") were wiped from my character/profile and that might be why it says I can't get it from the engram.
I won't decrypt another exotic engram until im sure its fixed.

4 RepliesIt being "already owned" does not affect your chances of getting it. Everything is rng based. And the items listed when previewing an exotic engram are not the loot pool it chooses from, it can be any exotic in the game.

Yeah unless exotics disappear from the loot pool then there currently is no issue besides something called RNG, well we can already see that exotic duplicates are a thing and I have friends that played only the titan in the beta and have gotten the gun.

1 Replysame issue. Seems like all the guns i used on my main (Titan) during beta are not dropping for me. Also shows i already have sweet business when i dont .

it werent your beta charcters, it were your destiny 1 characters.

8 RepliesSame here. I heard on other forums and posts that if you created a titan on the beta Sweet Business will show as "already in collections".I also created a titan during the beta. I have turned in countless exotic engrams and I have come to the same conclusion that it is indeed bugged. At first I thought it was bad luck, as I have seen all three classes have it in the tower or patrol.

4 RepliesReceiving multiple exotics is definitely a thing, I have had multiple crest of alpha lupi and others, so don't worry about the game thinking you have it so not giving you another, Also just because exotics seem to be dropping quicker than a strippers underwear atm doesn't mean you are going to get them all real quick though, there are loads I haven't had, in destiny 1 yr 1 and yr2 I never not once had a Gally drop for me, this game has been out for no time at all in comparison, I have seen so many posts on these forums people complaining they ain't got this and ain't got that it's mad ! Just keep playing and hope the rng goes your way.

Hello xPack_Wolfx, This glitch will not prevent you from obtaining Sweet Business, as receiving duplicate items is part of the game. With that being said, you will still be able to get it from exotic engrams (maybe even a legendary if you're lucky). I'm on the same quest you are; to obtain Sweet Business, and have been facing the same trials of not getting it...yet. Happy hunting. =)

It’s nothing more than a visual glitch that every player has. It has no bearing on what will drop from engrams. It’ll be in your collection after you find it in game.

lol If only engrams worked liked that..ive received multiple exotics that are in my collection..repeatedly, and in a row at times. you just have no luck

Same issue... Its the last exotic weapon I need! If i truly have to grind for then no problem there... But since its says "already in collection" it just makes me wonder if it will even drop

All my characters are 304-305 power, I've had tons of exotic engrams, not one "Sweet Business" Also it says it is "Already added to collection", but not obtainable in my collection. I also have 100+ gunsmith packages opened and certain guns just DO NOT drop for me: - Minuet - Antiope Something is up
