Caboose's Helmet - Operator or Mark V?
I never got around to posting this, but in the RvB PSA Deja View, many people think that Caboose was wearing a graphically-updated version of the Mark V helmet.
But taking a look at some of Reach's inventory, I don't think that was the Mark V helmet, but the Operator helmet. (possibly with no attachments.)
Here's a comparison of the three:

But technically you're right, one can argue the tradition starts in Halo 3 due to Halo 2 and RvB's limits on armor at the time.

Mark V. Just because the 'initial' armory doesn't have Mark V in it doesn't mean Mark V isn't in the game. Mark VI is there and that isn't in the initial armory, is it? Carter's helmet wasn't in the initial armory, was it? We can still wear it though. The initial armory was just the start, was but a taste to what the full armory will be.

The bad angle threw me off because the visor shape and cheek plates were so similar to that of the Operator helmet. The bottom of the helmet doesn't look so curved like Mark V but again, it could be the bad angle.

It's clearly a remake of the [i]original[/i] Mark V, which was much better in my humble opinion.

nope, if you look seriously close there are little details that are way off from each other. but i dont think its mark V

I'd say Mark V, just because the shape is so similar and that black thing on top looks the same. That's just me, though.
