Not everyone want to play pvp in a group. Some just want to play alone, but the teams in matchmaking make it frustrating at time. The lack of mobility means you're ****ed if you get caught in a team fire. People won't stand this in the long run.
Heavy emphasis os team shooting, poor health recovery time, and shitty movement equals a lot of lost player within the next months.

Edited by Logic Ronin: 9/17/2017 5:19:54 PMI disagree 100% with OP. The idea that teamwork is bad is anathema to everything I hold dear in multiplayer. To reference team shooting as a negative is absurd. Bungie has designed abilities that foster team play, (rifts and barricades) and also created buff bonuses directly into abilities for nearby teammates (see Defensive Strike and Rallying Force). This isn't to kill off PvP; it's to reinvigorate it with a greater sense of teamwork and community. Bungie clearly doesn't want lone wolves sniping and shot-gunning by themselves anymore because they figured out something the guys over at Blizzard figured out when designing Overwatch: massive team fights are way more exciting than a bunch of disparate 1v1's.
