Can we discuss Mida, seriously?

No opinons. Just facts. No "Nerfs ruined destiny lul", and no "Mida is O.p. trash" Just stats. First, against Mida. According to destiny tracker; Mida multi-tool, and its companion, Mida-Mini tool, are the top 2 weapons in the destiny crucible, [b]across the board.[/b] In Normal Crucible, it see's a 5.5% usage, and in Trials of the nine, its set at about 12%. Not very much, sure, but top dog none the less. Midas perks are a wombo combo of crucible domination with the increase speed, and ability to see radar while aiming. This is fantastic for PVP, completely undermining the balance destiny 2 has tried to set with mobility. It can take the slowest titan, to catch up to a hunter for christ sake. And when its on a hunter at max mobility? Forget about it. Hes outta there. It even stacks with the mida mini tool, giving even more speed for some reason. Not only that, but it has high caliber rounds; making anyone fighting the mida at its effective range, worthless. With its heavy aim assist; (according to destiny tracker database: 90) there is no missing shots with this thing. This gun swings in the face of what destiny 2's crucible is There was zero reason this exotic had to come back, and yet here it is. "Its TTK isnt the fastest." Well no, but TTK isnt the only thing we base weapon balance off of. "It cant possible have more aim assist than other weapons." Again, untrue. Its aim assistance is 90. The average legendary is around 70. [u][b]However[/b][/u] it is not, overpowered. Now [u]for[/u] Mida. While mida multi tool might throw a multitude of wrenchs into destiny crucible, its in no way overpowered. It may give speed to otherwise slow opponents, but speed does not equal strength in the crucible. With Mida multi-tool being a scout rifle, it cannot compete at close to medium range like hand cannons, or auto rifles. It has the mida mini tool, or another weapon for that, you'd think; true that may be, [i]but that's not using Mida, is it?[/i] Just because someone is using Mida, doesn't mean you automatically lose the gun fight. Mida is great at long ranges, but isn't that the point of scout rifles on the whole? Mida doesn't struggle in close ranges, but it is at a disadvantage at uncomfortably close ranges. Use that to you're advantage. "Its TTK is too fast" No. Not its not, its about average across scout rifles. "It makes you stagger too hard" Yes, it makes you stagger, but so does getting shot. "It has too much aim assist" Being easy to aim doesn't mean he'll win the fight. Yes, while it is true, that Mida completely rules the crucible at the moment, its clearly because of its ridiculous speed bonus.[i] I don't think its completely fine, but Id much rather not have an auto rifle incidence of destiny 1[/i], so I'm cautious to call it a nerf. A soft nerf where the maps are built with less tight angles would be for the best. Did I miss anything? EDIT: Personally, I think they should just stop bringing the gun back if its this much of a hassle.

  • -Speed Buff -Radar -High Caliber Rounds -90 Aim Assist -Above average Rate of Fire -Above Average TTK There is NOTHING else in the game that even come CLOSE to MIDA. • Hand Cannons used to be the answer, but now their accuracy and range falloff are useless against Scouts, or in Crucible period. • Pulse Rifles are neither strong enough nor accurate enough to counter the MIDA. • Auto Rifles do well enough in the short game, but you're still at the mercy of the HCR recoil disruption bouncing your Crits all over the place. Good luck. • Other scout rifles are clearly outclassed, and it's not even a close race. MIDA is head and shoulders the Top performing scout rifle (if not, weapon) in the game, and it needs to be fixed. There was a reason it got nerfed in Destiny 1. Let's not pretend that never happened.
