Dear Bungie please add a Grimoire feature to destiny 2 in the form of an Archive. I feel as though now, with the tower destroyed and all our recourses and historic records gone, this would be an ideal time to add such a feature. You could have missions be given out by a select vendor which involve scanning certain areas or enemies. Something akin to patrols. (I.e - kill 100% vex on Nessus to unlock new records in the archive) or (Scan hive Worm in the Reg on Titan). Of all the NPCs in the tower at the moment, I think Ikora Rey (or Tira Karn from the farm) would be perfect for such a feature. Before you say anything about meditations, yes I know Ikora does meditations but honestly I've never found Meditations to be all too interesting. That being said, I'm sure there are people who do enjoy meditations and maybe I am just one in a million of people who don't enjoy meditations but that being said, it is just a suggestion on a vendor. This archive would look something akin to the record books we got in D1, (books of iron etc) and you'd like to keep the previous vendors for their respected trade, you could always have these quests/missions be given out through the Archive book. For instance, you open the book and on the first page would be quests for this week, (kill certain enemies on planet/scan location/collect x resources) than once you've completed the mission, you'd be able to access once blank pages in the Archive that have now been filled with text. If the Grimoire is too much to add into the game at the moment than at least add some small parts. Even rewrite some of the previous cards to create a more solid coherent narrative as well as to fit the new meaning for the Light as well as remove any and all traces of the Darkness. I'd honestly prefer this, so with every few weeks or even months, Bungie could add new Grimoire lore into the archive, for FREE! Giving people more to do during the dry spouts between huge content drops (I.e DLC) not releasing everything at once but giving people things to work and look forward too every week.
