That's just it. Why -force- people to play how they don't want to play? I'm an Arc Titan (with Skullfort) and autorifle guy. My playstyle is all about movement and rapid fire. When the other two hang back I'm charging in to flank or crossfire. (Aside from the top tier stuff, more cautious) What happens when I get stuck with a scout or hand cannon? My gear, tuned for my playstyle, now has useless perks. So the one setback becomes two. Now my entire playstyle is affected and my efficiency is reduced which burdens the team. They tried this trick in D1 with the Ghosts. I wasn't a fan of it, it was stupid and pointless. Now they made it a part of the weapon system as a whole. They took a step in the wrong direction. It'd be on thing if it was just a Ghost, it doesn't have any real impact just time consuming. Yet they made this game weapon centric, which means what guns you use matters more then ever. So why force someone to play less effectively and make the experience worse? Smacks of arrogance to think they can impose that on you and call it an improvement. "You like autos? Well enjoy the exact opposite because we know better than you about what you like in a game."

The loot system takes into account what you are carrying aswell as what you are using.
