Since they are both close range weapon, they don't really need that much ammo.
You should be able to kill 1-2 enemies for every magazine if you don't miss half the shots

Also, have you tried a scout rifle? Longest range primaries in the game. And I dunno about you, but I'm almost never missing shots when I use a scout rifle - in fact, the majority of my shots are precision hits. You'll only miss shots at a distance if you have no trigger discipline, long range weapons are much easier to use than you imply.

Mainly because they are low ammo and are more precise weapon If you miss a shot or two on Scout or Handcannon it's a risk and aiming to the head is a must to get the fastest kill As for Submachine gun and maybe Sidearm (And Auto Rifles) it's less precise, you can miss a few shot or have most of the shot be body shot and it may not change much If the ammo is a for you problem you could use the precise aiming counter-part since it doesn't empty a magazine immediately.
