We wanted the ability to just connect with people for important events. You sorta gave us that ability, but you riddled it with "requirements". These "requirements" are going to become a big hassle once the player base drops and ""clanmates" are no longer playing Destiny 2.
Lfg is still king when it comes to looking for players to play any activity with.

I just finished typing something similar in another thread, with the basic summary of it being that guided games had potential, and they've squandered it.
-
I think everything should have a playlist so if your clan or friends stop playing you can still play any mode you like. Raids should have a playlist like gta5 has for heists if you have a party that is fine if not you can get matched with other people who don`t have a full team. I don`t see why they do not include it and lock content off from players and no one wants to be guided through a level that`s not fun at all.

There just needs to be an endgame lfg at the socials spaces or something.

13 RepliesI think an option to do regular old matchmaking is fine. I've never had a problem with Nightfalls....ever. Hell I'll do them solo if I must. The other players don't even have to be good. Just shoot at enemies and make sure you Rez. Never had a problem with ransoms or noobs in Nightfalls. I think Raids will work just fine too. You don't have to use this hypothetical matchmaking feature. LFG is not going anywhere. Plus some of my most memorable Raids are those long noob carries on VOG anyways. I think matchmaking would work fine. Because at some point the only folks playing those game types will be folks who are serious about finishing it. It's like TitanFall. I still play 1 and 2. At this point only players familiar with the game are still playing. Nobody is Gen5 or higher who doesn't know what they are doing. Personally it's why I loved our grim score. You knew instantly who had put in time to learn and hunt.

Destiny 2. Because using an app or a website to find randos is totally cool in 2017. The original Battle.net had more functionality.

2 RepliesMe and a clan mate used guided games to find a 3rd for nightfall and I expect it to search within your region. Well we got paired with a guy in Germany who could barely understand us cause we spoke English. Like really bungie? I'm not hating on him for his language but at least match us with people we can talk and communicate with.
-
9 RepliesI was hoping for a more LFG matchmaking than this thing. The requirements for both needing clanmates and chat kind of ruined it for me. I've always done my nightfalls and raids in the past without having clans or a mic to use but now it seems impossible to do anything without a headset and large clan. I'm still going to try to do it all without a mic or main group but I'm thinking I might just have to drop this game for good at some point. They really should iron out their issues and introduce text chat to consoles like they're doing for pc. Many large MMORPGs allow text chat on consoles now (Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy 14, Warframe) there's no reason to not have it anymore. Consoles can use keyboards.

7 Repliesdid guided nightfall. people in clan in party chat. no talking at all. finished with more than 5 min left. pretty much sucked.
-
Whatever. I'll take it. I don't want to go on an app or website to try to do the nightfall. Guided game took a couple min but I was able to jump right in to the nightfall without any bs.

2 RepliesFor anyone who has ever used b.net they will go back to this 9/10 times HOWEVER Guided games was never meant to cater to us it was meant to cater to those with no clan and no knowledge of b.net
-
20 RepliesLet's be honest if there's full on matchmaking for the raid that team won't even get past the first encounter.
-
-but it's the one we deserve.
-
1 ReplyGuided host are not allow to kick player
FINALLY
-
Lol here we go again....
-
Hell its a matchmaking system anyways
-
11 RepliesI gotta say, we tried the guided game system out last night on nightfall with 2 clan mates and it seemed to work great. In-Game chat was buggy so we used party but the player was great but new to the process and we all ended up making it out alive. I think it will work out, assuming the system gets used and I don't think they have done a good job of explaining it to "would be" new players trying to tackle the end game content.

5 RepliesMatchmaking is a much worse option here
-
5 RepliesEdited by Zelrons: 9/13/2017 6:10:32 PMProbably because it isn't meant to be matchmaking.
-
But it's the one you deserve.

2 RepliesI was one of the people that was wanting matchmaking for D2. But if it's just simply matchmaking like crucible or strikes playlist then there is no way to guarantee any kind of progress or completion in a NF or raid since people can just drop out at anytime. With guided games people that can get help a lot easier if they have limited game time no for sure whoever is helping them won't quit on them 30min before reset. Also so bungie can stop people from charging players to carry them and making a profit off there game that they can't get a percentage of. So they made it a win win for both types of players......and themselves, as long as it goes for trials to, they missed out on a lot of money lol.
-
2 RepliesHere is my question. If the goal of guided games is to introduce solo players to clans, then what happens when it works and there are no more solo players......
