It was just an ordinary day in the tower. I was talking with some random Guardian who was bragging about his new armor like it was worth exotics. Then I saw a city retrieval ship fly overhead and three Guardians transmatted into the courtyard. By the looks of their armor, one was a warlock who's armor has seen better days, a Hunter wearing New Monarchy gear, and the last seemed to be a newbie by the looks of his armor. I put my conversation on hold and went to great the newcomers. After our chase at the hands of the hive a ship came to pick us up. It was there that Silas and V, told me everything I needed to know about my new situation. I was apparently a resurrected soldier who was brought back to help defend the last city from the darkness. When I asked why I couldn't remember anything they informed me that no guardian could. They explained more about us guardians and told me that my name would come to me in time. My ghost chimed in and informed the group that I was apparently a warlock like Silas. Silas took this chance to explain the different classes and subclasses of guardians, but when he was talking about subclasses V looked at him a bit weirdly but I decided to ignore it talking all of this information in. It was only when we transmatted in that my name hit me like a ton of bricks, my name is Tesmin. When we got into the tower I looked over the courtyard in awe and watched as guardians went around the tower with purpose. " Look behind you," my ghost said with excitement in his voice. I turned around to see the Traveler hovering above the last city glowing white as the afternoon sun shined down upon it. I was gazing over the last city when Silas took off his helmet and I saw why his voice sounded so robotic. He had silver plating on his face and had a yellow stripe down the center of his face in between his eyes. His eyes glowed a dark blue and I saw the same glow inside his mouth. I stared at him in shock and he turned to and chuckled. "Never seen an exo before?" he asked as his face plates turned upright in what I assumed was his attempt at a smile. I could only shake my head in shock of what I saw. " Yeah, didn't think so." "Exos were another wonder of the golden age," my ghost said appearing from my armor matrix. " Human minds put into a mechanical body." he marveled at Silas. Vs' helmet disappeared and looked at me. v was a human with jet black hair a pair of piercing blue eyes. He looked at me. "Your armor is connected to your thoughts, it reacts and does whatever you want it to do," he said still looking at me, "In this case your can will your helmet to disappear into your inventory." I get the point then with a thought have my helmet disappear. I looked in a puddle and saw my skin was a pale blue with piercing eyes of the same color, and hair as white as snow. I put my hand to my face and a word pops into my head. Awoken. Is that what I am, I think to myself as a big figure approaches us. " Hello, to all," he says with a huge grin on his face, "My name is Vulcan, defender titan!" Defender, I think to myself, Silas told me that all classes start off with a certain subclass and to switch you have to infuse yourself with the chosen subclasses' energy. Which takes a few minutes and is difficult to do because the materials needed to do it are all very rare. We introduce ourselves then he looks at me. "Your a new guardian correct?" he asks with that same enthusiasm in his voice. I nod and he smiles again and points me across the courtyard, "Down those steps is the vanguard. All new guardians need to see them upon entering the tower." I look back at Silas and V and they nod, intending to come with.
