The Nightfall is Winter's Run! (July 25)

Modifiers [b]Void Burn[/b] - Void Damage from any source is greatly increased. [b]Berserk[/b] - Minions of the Darkness won't flinch, even after massive damage. [b]Small Arms[/b] - Primary Weapon damage is favored. [b]Fresh Troops[/b] - Some enemy squads have been fortified with additional reinforcements. [b]Daybreak[/b] - The Darkness grows stronger, and so do you. Form a fireteam of three and unleash your Light with greatly increased ability recharge. ---- Hello, guys, it's a new week, so that means another Nightfall for us! It's the end of the Destiny 2 beta, how did you guys enjoy your time? Play the strikes and farm for some blue gear? Anyways, it's time to another week of DAYBREAK. We're heading back to face the Archon Priest! The heroic modifiers are still looking good as ever! --- Recommended Weapon(s) for this Nightfall: [armory]Word of Crota (Adept)[/armory] [armory]Doom of Chelchis (Adept)[/armory] [armory]Telesto[/armory] --- Strike Exclusives: These items have a chance of dropping from the chest at the end of the strike when a skeleton key is inserted. [armory]Stolen Will[/armory] --- [u]SIVA Crisis Heroic Modifiers[/u] [b]Heroic[/b] - Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive. [b]Solar Burn[/b] - Solar Damage from any source is greatly increased. [b]Specialist[/b] - Secondary Weapon damage is favored. [b]Chaff[/b] - Player radar is disabled. --- [u]Weekly Story Playlist Modifiers[/u] [b]Heroic[/b] - Enemies appear in greater numbers and are more aggressive. [b]Arc Burn[/b] - Arc Damage from any source is greatly increased.     I tried for the Gold tier nightfall last night with two pug's from the in-game LFG on Xbone. For starters, of the 4 people I played with, none had any exotic primaries with Void damage... Ok, I can deal with that. Two had Void secondaries, sweet... Two were using other elemental secondaries... Still, I can deal with that. Heavies were mostly Void... But a Void sword is not a viable option for this strike... Unless you've figured out how to fire projectiles with it. None of them had a void subclass equipped. The worst part though... All the people I tried this with kept running out like lemmings at the final boss... Not like, just peeking... Running across the entire map, then they'd get sniped by the many VOID snipers, or the respawning enemies. So, I switch from Envenomed to invis nades to go pick them up... Only for them to do THE EXACT SAME THING. Over, and over, and over again. It's like they were trying to die on purpose. I stick it out with them because I don't quit easy. I'm more than double their kills combined. 1 min to go... Both team mates are dead (again), so I leave as we're not getting the thing done... I get a message. It's berating me for leaving with 1 minute to go, because I quit... WITH 1 MINUTE TO GO. I state the obvious... No reply. Lesson here for anyone who fits into the category of gamer I described above... Don't run off alone. Use void weapons and abilities. Don't run out in the open when every enemy shoots void damage on a void burn strike. SMH
