What are you talking about? Bungie forgot this game was supposed to be Destiny, a game that was unique and 3 years later they ended up here. That's sad...

  • Yeah I mean, I know what we're seeing is just a small part of the game, more or less just to test the servers and such, but I am severely disappointed in the direction this has gone. I honestly think the weapon system will completely destroy the PvE experience, and they did it this way simply because of all the people who complained about being sniped or killed by a shotgun in D1 crucible. They've tailored the game to PvP, and effectively ruined PvE. I play both equally in D1, and I see no problem with keeping it as is for the sequel. But apparently too many people whined about those weapons that their complaints wrecked the sequel. Bungie listens to the community, which is good to an extent, but they need to have their own wits about them and recognize when people are whining about dumb stuff that, if changed, would truly hurt the game. This is one of those times they should have ignored the community. And really, the problem is that the people who are fine with the game as is have nothing to say, so they don't post on here. I'm guilty of that too. Which then leads Bungie to believe that the whining, complaining posts they see here represent the entire community, and they are oh-so wrong.

I think it's ridiculous to think that the load out changes are what could ruin the PvE experience. I thought it was ridiculous before the beta. I think it's even more ridiculous now. What makes or breaks a PvE game is content plain and simple. Is there stuff to do? Is that stuff fun? Do we get more stuff to do before we completely burn out on the old stuff to do? If the answer to all three questions is yes, then you have an incredible PvE game. Unfortunately, the most important PvE changes, the open world changes presented yesterday, weren't in the beta. They seem like they're adding a ton of stuff to do which would be really good. We did get a chance to see if the strike and mission were fun to do. There were some problems, but on the whole I personally had a lot of fun. There's literally no way a beta can test their ability to deliver new content consistently, so that question was always going to go unanswered for awhile. It won't even be answered at launch.

  • I was just saying to someone else a little bit ago that Bungie is messing around to much with the core of the game. And a lot of that is only for their personal needs and them not taking the player base into consideration on how it effect them. IMO this company has gone way overboard on controlling how gamers play.

  • I wholeheartedly agree. That was evidenced through their constant nerfs of weapons because they didn't like if a specific one was "too popular." The only time that I explicitly felt that a Nerf was needed was Thorn during HoW, but they took that way too far with how bad they made it. Nerf it into nonexistence is their philosophy.

  • Umm the gun that took the worst nerf from beginning to end was the best exotic in the game no matter what you played. I know you think im talking about Ghally but no the Vex Mythoclast, its very first nerf took away 34.5% of its dammage and 1/3 of its ammo. Then every fusion riffle nerf or negative adjustment since has affected it also. Its tragic.

The over nerfing in this game is why I stopped playing this game right after Ttk was released. Thought to myself what's the point. Why spend hundreds and thousands of hours in a game if everything that I enjoy using is just going to continuously get nerfed and end up in the vault collecting dust. Then ROI came out and I was like, I'm not going to regrind for everything I already acquired. This company also needs to learn how to keep things relevant..
