Good thing I didn't get on the hype train! Shoulda known Activision would F up another franchise..
I guess after 3yrs of playing the same game it's about time to move on..

EDIT- 11:30a C: Just played first opening mission and I must say, I'm impressed! I'm playing as a Hunter and I love the sub-machine gun and Sunshot combo w/GL. Hand cannon hits nicely.. Scout Rifle, meh😒 auto rifle is on point in my opinion.. sniper definitely feels Heavy, GL seems to do it's job well, not huge blast radius so you can use in close quarters. I really like the gameplay and how it flows. The jump seems to be more appropriate for the Hunter, not so rigid.
As far as things I don't like.. 🤔 I'm a fanboy right now so I'll be in touch, ha!

EDIT 2- 1:00p C: Just got done playing the strike. Pretty intense. Cool downs definitely were slow which I think prolong the strike quite a bit. Seems like with ammo synths and a boost to cool downs they will be a blast..
The Farm is a real nice additon👌🏼
..now it's on to the Cruxible😰
EDIT 3- 5:00p C: Played the casual Crucible and I guess all I have to say is find yourself a nice auto rifle. Didn't really have that much fun at all! No super hardly any grenade or melee.. meh 😒

4 RepliesThe people who are saying the beta sucks probably set their expectations WAY TOO HIGH, like the sequel was supposed to change the game DRASTICALLY. Its a sequel. Of course most of the stuff is going to be similar, they're not going to redesign an entire franchise and universe just because there's a big ass 2 on the cover of the game

The beta was terrible, only time I died was when I fell off the map and while trying to figure out how to destroy the generator, but never died once in actual combat. An FPS for casuals. Glad I was already BOYCOTTING due to the missing content and purposely crippled frame-rate on XBOX ONE X.

People will often spread the bad more willingly than the good and will often shut down and/or ignore possible solutions to their anger. Releasing that anger in an online social forum is one such method. I surprise myself quite often when I come back to something that is frustrating me after venting anger into something, like dancing wildly to aggressive music.

Some of the stupid shit I've seen called out: Sidearms still in game Dialogue lines (good or bad) The tiny ledge grab mechanic It's not 60 fps (I come from old school, 60 fps don't mean shit when you played 8 bit) How control starts with spots given Just seeing stupid complaints. He'll some of the complainers didn't even touch the beta. Your best to play it and decide yourself

So if finished, not finished, horribly broken (which I don't think it is hardly broken but I'm just saying) it will still be released. The reason why it will be released is because Activision will take over half of Bungie stock if they miss that release date that will be a controlling interest and Bungie for all times. Just think about it for a minute you've worked your butt off to make a company you do a deal with Activision to get the money and distribution you need to get your Never Done Before product out there but at any point if you slip up they will take half of your company away from you... To be honest with you I'm surprised Homecoming played as well as it did because we all know Activision doesn't set a high bar for quality gaming so I'm not sure they really care how well the game is Bungie might but Activision just wants them to miss that launch window so they can take over Bungie. That's why I'm going to give Bungie 90 days after the release... I'll check in periodically and see how things are going but I'm not likely to buy this game in September. You see they're going to have to do some patching, they're going to have to release the notes so I can see what they're doing, what they've changed, then they can get my money. Destiny one was Baron by buy the taken King Destiny one was pretty good I don't believe Destiny 2 will start off bear and have story but gameplay in PVE is not fun right now according to the beta. They chose to give us an old build of the game they had to know what we were going to complain about. Bungie's playing the long game because it's the only game they have with Activision in the mix, I get it and now so do you.
